if your specs matched the same specs as the sprint/telus variant it SHOULD be the exact same steps except I don't know were you would get a carrier cab. But honestly I have never even heard of that carrier let alone know their specs.

I do not how to compare but under communications then network the manual has the following - CDMA2000 1xEVDO/1xRTT and IS-95A/B voice or data
Please help I do not want to stay stock. :(

there are other cellular south user here that use custom roms with no problem. Start off with something basic like a MightyRom, and see how it goes. Worst case scenario is it will not work, then all you have to do is flash back to the shipped rom, which you can download here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...th#post1030332

What about the specific carrier cab for Cellular South. I have read many posts and have not seen anything relating to CS. Sorry for so many ?'s but I need to know so I do not brick this thing.

no need to apologize. i was in your shoes once. i know how worried you can be for your first time.
flashing these custom roms will not brick it and you will not need a carrier cab. you have a cdma touch pro. this is the cdma touch pro section, so any of the roms in this section will work on your phone.

Since when have you stopped needing a carrier cab? is cellular south connection information included in all the roms? I remember when we started and it was mostly telus roms I had to find the sprint carrier cab to get voice and data to work. (though that was in the diamond days before the TP was out)

just about every custom rom on here contains the generic carrier settings which allows data to work on all carriers, except for cricket and metropcs. those are the only 2 that require different settings from the rest. i think DCD's rom is the only one that requires the carrier cab, because his rom does not have the generic carrier settings, which is #777 username blank, password blank. Which you can just go to your connection settings and put in yourself, instead of installing the carrier cab.

I have tried to unlock my new Cellular south touch pro at least 5 times to no avail. Is Cellular south a different breed or what. Is there anyone that can help please.
I have unlocked a sprint touch pro before using this method but now i'm lost ](*,):dontknow:
