*UPDATE* Sprint Clock W/ no background :) Now in color!

Well its probably not much for you guys but I couldnt find where there was a cab that installed the original sprint clock but with no background on it, so I made one. I think the clock looks much better than the analog and flip ones, but thats just my opinion. If you guys can edit the color of the digits, post up your screens .

As far as I know, this doesn't work with background4all so if you guys know a workaround for it, let me know too. Thanks.

*UPDATE*

I just got my hands on some more colors for the Sprint clock which looks great! A generous soul over at xda handed me these so let me know what you think.

Remember that you MUST have the original Sprintclock.cab on first before you add these color or you're gonna have a messed up lookin clock.

Feel free to add more colors and variations of this if you want

(The other 4 colors are in the post #4 below, with a screenshot)

*UPDATE 2* (3/11/09)

If this is giving you problems at all, try downloading the Original Sprint Clock cab and install that first. It should give you the Original Clock with the glossy black background. Reset, install the color you like , then dump the manila in post #11 in the root of the windows folder. reset. You should be good to go.

How about adding a screenshot to your post to show us what you're talking about?

Edit - I was wiping and flashing custom roms as soon as I got this TP. I have no idea what the stock Sprint clock was.

I'm proud of you! You're really jumping in and making the phone the way you want.. thats all that counts, little steps or big steps doesn't matter!

I'd use the sprint style clock with a semi transparent background if I could have background for all and get the clock in the corner! That's why I took out the line that devides the numbers in half on the flip clocks.. gives a sleeker look when not using flapbacks.

I installed Sprintclock.cab, soft reset, then installed one of the colors, soft reset and I see the new color, but the background is still there. I am running the stock rom. Anyone else have this problem?

Ok here is the manila that I spoke about in the 1st post. Unzip and then proceed with putting it in the Windows root folder.

Let me know if it works for you guys. I tested it and it worked on Mighty's also.

I also attached the Sprint clock with no background on here , if you just want the original white looking digits

Connect with Activesync and then click on "Explore". Navigate to the Windows folder (give it a few seconds, it takes a little bit) and then just open the zip and drag it into the folder.

For ease of use for noobs I cabbed up the clear background for the sprint clock that Reign is offering up....

Just run the cab after you've installed the color sprint clock you want.

It will work on other roms too, not just the stock rom. If you are getting a white rectangle, that is because there is background4all app that is clashing with it. Im looking for a way to disable that myself. If anyone knows how to disable that if its all pre-cooked, let me know.

Re: *UPDATE* Sprint Clock W/ no background :) Now in color!

The only issue with this is that with the Original Sprint stock clock installed, you cannot use a custom background on all pages. It's either run the Sprint stock clock and live with the default background(otherwise you get a white square and no background on other pages) on the other pages(you can still run a custom background on the home page) or run the custom background on all pages cab and not run the Sprint stock clock(otherwise you get a 0:00 flip clock look).

Frustrating because I too like the default Sprint clock, but I wanna run a custom background on all pages.

There has to be a way around that. I'm no programmer or coder but I would think that someone on here could figure it out if they really wanted to. I just dont think its impossible. One thing I thought of, which would be a real PITA but, put without using background4all, you could put your screen on each tab. I think I read on here that someone wanted a different wallpaper for each tab, so you could make it the same for each one and be able to use the clock :)

How do you uninstall these clocks? I keep trying to and it keeps saying that they have not been uninstalled. Someone please help me.
