**RESOLVED (kind of)**Turn Off Beam (irDA) Using Registry Edit

Okay, I'm at it again, I have most everything complete for my UC the next time Mike throws out a new ROM
I have ActiveSync, Email, blah blah blah in xml. Backed up HD Peoples Tab Favorites and all move over using my SDConfig.txt. I need help with one last thing, can anyone tell me the registry edit (if even possibe) to turn off irDA? I don't even thing my device has it, regardless, I don't want it on. I search, even using Google, with so many names I could get a good search (irDA, Beam, infrared, etc...)

EDIT: Shoot, I meant to post this in the HTC Touch Pro forum and not the CDMA HTC Touch Pro Upgrades, please move, thank you.

As far as I know, that hardware is not present on the Touch Pro. Regardless, here is the regedit I used for my old Mogul to disable the beam.

Code:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Obex]
"IsEnabled"=dword:00000000

You know a thought came to mind about that whole irDA thing and you're right, if there's no hardware there, there's no hardware to be on... it's just a GUI that's saying it's on... Thank you for info!

Would be nice to be able to remove some of the references to it. Can anyone suggest how?

IrDA is irrelevant to our devices, there is no IR hardware. But as for beam, just use the regedits mentioned above.

And I thought Beam was a bluetooth OBEX thing. Must have just never put a lot of thought into it.
