help me decide which rom to use..
 

Hey all, just received a new touch pro today for sprint, so now of course I would like to put on a custom rom.

What I mainly need is..

good web browser
office mobile
play video/mp3s
gps using google maps or something
tethering to laptop for internet access
good battery life
fast/responsive

these are my main concerns.. recommendations on which rom to run?

so just stick with stock? on my mogul I was running dcd 3.3.4 and wow was it WAY better and faster than stock.

DooX, as we all say to anyone asking which Rom to flash, Try them all out and find which one fits you. noone can decide it for ya because each one offers so much and almost all fall within your criteria. IMHO. Goodluck and Happy flashing

Coming from the Mogul it is easy to think of the stock = "not good".

Fortunately the stock TP ROM is much better (Sprint stock). Make sure you do many of the tweaks outlined in the TP Essentials thread/sticky.

It is hard to overcome that perception especially if you are coming from the Mogul.

I would say to try them all for at least a few days to get a feel for what everyday use would be like, sometimes you just don't notice the quirks until you use it day to day. With that being sad, the fastest ROMs I've used are by Juicy47 & Mighty Mike.

i say use it for a couple weeks stock and then once you have a feel for what you think you need from a custom rom, then go ahead and flash a few and see which works the best for you. the stock rom is not bad. for all you know, that may be what you feel is the best rom for you.

I have tried a few roms on this forum and others. I have ended up with the Mighty rom. This is the fastest rom ever. My buddy has the FUZE also with many roms. None of them come close to the Mighty rom. Just awesome.
