I think I figured out what broke my TP 2 touch keyboard. When I switched the setting from T9 to ABC the keyboard switched to a 10 key pad.

Any ideas on how to fix this without hard resetting?

I can get it to recognize it but when I try to actually sync, it keeps failing with errors.

I DOES sync, however with my exchange mail server.

**EDIT**

My sync is failing on Birthdays and anniversaries.

you have to reinstall sync software on your computer...i've done it like 12 times. If you read the reviews on Vista's Sync Center...it's garbage...but it's all we've got:(

The cab won't install but the exe does, so don't know why the cab won't.

Are you saying you can't ActiveSync to your computer?? Chances are yer partnership name changed and Windows is rejecting your TP...

If that's the case you need to delete the Key

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-507921405-1482476501-725345543-500\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services

"Windows CE Services" Once you delete this key(folder) restart the computer then Run ActiveSync... this will reinitialize ActiveSync's partnerships...

You don't have to restart the computer if you just taskkill wcescomm.exe and WCESMgr.exe

Umm, why do I have to do this? Up until this ROM, the sync software has worked flawlessly.

Yes. I set up my device just fine, but when it tries to sync. I get errors and the log says it's failing on an anniversary and birthday I have set up for one contact. Never happened until this version.
