Same here. On alot of ROMs I used to restore almost 5000 texts and it always would slow down my phone and make tmail.exe lock up. I think all in all, restoring a bunch of texts is a bad idea nomatter what ROM.

this wasn't an issue with wm6.1 though, so I'm still hoping it's a bug that can be resolved.

I think I got it...this will revert to the older version of manila2. You can now call out from Manila and people tab works like it used to.

This breaks the SMS tab, but that can be fixed by installing the 4-HTC-New-Contact-Card cab.

1. Disable TF3D
2. Install Manila2 Older Version_compressed
3. Install 4-HTC-Contact-Card
4. Soft reset
5. Enable TF3D

EDIT: Verified that the compressed cab works fine. Uncompressed has been removed. I've been using this all day and the only issue I've found is the sms crash, but that is easily fixed.

quick question, can i use the tip above (post # 3831) to revert the dialer to the manilla2 older version? I used it on the previous update and it worked great. Will this fix continue to work until the new dialer is up and running?

Thanks for your help...

THANKED, will give this a show sometime this week.

Haha @SnoopDawg.
And your profile tag says n00b, how misleading lol.

osmany21- your profile tag and your signiture don't say what carrier you are using.
Help us help you :)

If you are on Verizon you need to set your pagepool down at like 6-8MB whereas the other TouchPros have more memory and can leave it at default or higher. That sounds like whats going on with your ROM but I could be way off.

Thanks @sc00b4s7eve.

I was thinking this was something with the PagePool too. I had a ton of messages from twitter but deleted, it helped the performance.

The messaging app was only using 1.2MB. If I use SKTools it helps.

I still have the ghey issue with Exchange where I can not use the KB to retype my password. There are ways around it.

Problems I have noticed.

1) Enryption is not included. This is a problem because my company's exchange server requires this for direct push. Is there a CAB I can find to install this?
2) When Opera is removed from the kitchen selections, customization breaks because it is looking for it. It just locks up. This actually uncovered something interesting... when customization breaks, my internet speed after soft reset is MUCH faster than it would have been if customization would have completed. I am on SPRINT, so I dont know if that has anything to do with it. Whatever the case, customization doesn't help the internet speed.

Any info on this? Seems like item 1 is a common problem I have had in the past which always kept me from using a Juicy build. I would really love to give his kitchen a shot... but I can't if I can't get my work's exchange server talking to it.

Wow... the battery life on the most recent rom is amazing. I haven't had to plug my phone in at all. By now, my battery would be dead.

Yeah, could be. I tried a 32MB pagepool and it was pretty good but batterylife dropped a bit cause Memory usage was evening out ~65-75% (~130-150mb).
I think I'm sticking with 20mb for now though because Garmin, Opera and Messaging all seem to work much more smoothly.

I tried this, Here is how it works for me
Yes you can dial out, however This kills the battery improvements that came about with the latest release. I'm going to give it another day and if battery is still bad i'm going to just reflash.

It also breaks the programs tab

If you install this fix on the latest build, it will also stop the 'all programs' tab from working.....back to the showaco fix!!

Yup... looks like the all programs tab stops working, but i rather have that not work instead of the dialer. After all, this is primarily a phone for me. As far as battery, it's a huge improvement from the previous rom. Although i have not sync to my computer yet, so active sync might not be taking up all the battery.
