Hey Everyone. I'm still really new to kitchens but have cooked a few roms now successfully. I am wondering. If I have a custom OEM package to install into the OEM's folder how do I get it to show up in BuildOS? Am I missing a step. I placed my folder with the other OEMs but it does not appear in BuildOS as a selection. Thanks

You need to put a "option.xml" file in the Package directory. It's in the format of:

Code:

<Items>

    <Tip></Tip>

</Items>

Thanks! and this works well?
There was another thread where it broke the menus.
Might be a good chance to go back to the HTC menu enhancements. I've been really happy with 900 sized 6.5 menus though.

Yeah, it works very well, just make sure you install the fixes for the appropriate cab you install. Check this post for the fixes: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...7&postcount=41

I built the fixes into the cab so I don't have to keep importing the fix.

I am having the same problem as well any help would be thanked greatly :)

Here's my work-around solution for this.

1.) Install IEToggle (attached)
2.) Launch it, you may get an error about not finding Internet Explorer. Ignore it, click ok
3.) Select PIE, click OK
4.) In Internet Explorer (I believe it launches automatically) go to http://m.google.com/maps/download?dc=gorganic
5.) in a few seconds a download window will pop up, leave "Open file after download" checked, and click "Yes"
6.) run through the install routine after the download and your google maps will be updated.

You can chose whether to leave IE in PIE mode (works like a mobile browser) or reset it to IE6 mode (works more like a desktop browser). If you leave it in PIE mode, and set it as the default browser then google maps automatic update *should* work straight from the app.

Also, for those too lazy to follow all the steps above, I attached the cab for google maps that I just downloaded using the above steps. This will upgrade you to the latest version.

Only file you need is RUU_signed.nbh

BUT BUT BUT you need to change RUU_signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh

Then once that file is on your SD card turn the phone OFF. Then hold the volume up and the power button. Then with the stylus hit the reset button and hold it for a couple seconds then stop. STILL hold the volume up and the power button for a couple more seconds and you should see some words pop up saying something like, "If you want to install RAPHIMG then hit the power button." Then just hit the power button. Then it installs and installs the same way as if you are using a computer.
