Kitchens

Why do all the cooks and chefs use complicated kitchens and dll patching to create images? Why not use the same tools the OEM uses? It seems that this would provide a better result.

LoL. What dream world do you live in?

In the world I live in, where companies are driven to make money. I am pretty sure they will lose money if the shared their tools.

Also, It wouldn't necessarily create better results either. Microsoft is notorious for releasing updates. I have to update so much that I thought I was in their beta testing trial. Just think of the dll patching as just of their updates! Let me know when you find Microsoft's Kitchen.

Maybe I'll just use a potato to make ROMs from now on.

I think you should try to explain what you mean better before this thread goes awry.

The question was silly to begin with and the thread has already gone awry. There is a wealth of information regarding why rom cooks make custom ROMs, and this thread just isn't necessary.

I'm not sure what the op asked, but I have dedicated a HUGE portion of a fraction of my life to tutorials to help folks just like yourself learn to cook their own rom! Or at least the terminology. And cooking isn't all that difficult...
