repeating text messages
 

VZW Touch PRO SSK 1.2

Looks like its sending out repetitive text messages from my phone. Any thoughts? Change ROMS?

u dont need to hard reset, its a network problem, i believe its something to do with the alltel switch because i have an alltel touch pro and my gf has a blackberry pearl with alltel and a storm with verizon and a couple days ago it sent a message to me 8 times in a row from her alltel and then it sent my message to her storm 5 times and her message back from the storm 14** times!! it was getting pretty annoying, i just turned my phone off for the rest of the day and haven't experienced the problem since but i believe this is what its from, not sure though, but i doubt a hard reset will solve anything

not trying to dispute mightymike, because he knows a lot more of what hes talking about than i do, didn't realize who i was disputing til after i posted, hehe
but i had cons 1-21 rom on my tp when it started and i even flashed to mightys 4.9.2 rom and it still happened so thats why i said i dont see where a hard reset will solve anything, but if it does, sorry i gave you ill advice.

Do you have the the SafeInBoxEntender installed?

If so, that's the reason!!!!

I stopped using it and the problem went away! You cannot just uninstall it, you have to hard reset to truly erase it. It will fix the multiple messages sending.

Hello,

This happend to me when i flashed to mighty 4.9.3. If you checked you will see that the text message that you sent will be in the outbox instead of the sent box . In order to get this fix i had to do a hard reset. After that it worked perfectly.
