Re: Newer radio? (Telus?)

I seriously doubt it matters among all the radios that aren't the one that's crap. Go with Telus. My hunch* is, if you ran that radio for a week and then someone broke into your home one night and flashed a different radio on your TP as you slept, that you would not notice.

* hunch based on the data you posted.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. In most cases, I am extremely detail-oriented, almost to a fault.

And also - If someone broke into my home to flash a new Radio onto my TP - I'd think that not only does that person have some serious issues, but that I need better security. ;-)

I agree with you hahaha... Thanks for your effort. I really enjoyed this thread!

why is it that the newer Telus radio 1.07 hasn't been dumped? (I think that's the word im looking for) even though it's been months since it became available on stock devices?

I am going to try the Sprint 11.00F radio after reading this thread, as soon as I figure out how to unlock my phone and gather up the courage to mess with my week-old TP. Not happy with battery life thus far. Gets 12-14 hours and is dead, after tweaking up the stock Sprint ROM (even installed Lumos).

Successfully HSPL'd my phone via ActiveSync and flashed 1.11.00F. I'll check back with a battery life report. It will be easy - if I go to bed before the phone dies after being off the charger all day, the battery is lasting longer.

Re: Newer radio? (Telus?)

I posted my results in other threads, this is what I got.
In Northern VA, DC area, I was running 1.11 for a few days, obviously better than stock 1.03.. Battery does heat up like it did originally before MightyROM upgrade. 1.11 is faster and does give you better call quality. Battery drains a bit more than stock 1.03 also..

Now 1.04 Telus is a better built in the sense that it does not heat up the battery at all. There is no difference in battery drain from stock 1.03(after mightyROM), but it's a tad slower, proven by speedtests( again folks in my AREA). I ran a plethora of tests, with 1, 2, 3, and full bars.... But its not noticable on daily internet use, unless you check with bandwidth tests.

Overall, MightyMight 4.16 and Telus 1.04 is the best combo I have tested thus far... Averaging 2.25MB/Sec
And yes people, no more GPS lag with Telenav 5.1. Life is good....

1.11.00F almost doubled my battery life (stock ROM with tweaks). I'm in the RI area. A friend in the Mass/CT area experienced the same improvement.
