That DONT have the XT9 input cooked it?

(i know u can turn it off with your keyboard or with reg edits or whatever but im looking for a rom where that is not even built into the rom)

Ive tried to not cook that into my personal roms but everytime I dont I cant switch the keyboard to the numbers. Its like the button doesnt exist.

Have you searched and asked in appropraite threads like th eones that are posted for each ROM. I know, its a pain to do research but you may learn quite a bit in the meantime. You wont believe that I myself ask3ed querstions likes when I was a n00b too. BUt I didnt post them. I searched and tried. and sxearched some more and tried some.

Why, because the amount of knowledge you gain is immense.


BTW: My ROM does. Most do, dont they????

Theres a zillion roms out. Easiest way would be to make a post like this. I searched some, and the ones I saw had the XT9 in, HENCE thats why I made this topic. Why do you assume I didnt search? Show me a search string that will produce ROMs that say its not in. If you cant, then why are u trying to flame when you have no grounds to support your cause? And thats super if your rom contains the XT9, but um , DUH, I know most roms have it in, HENCE is why I made this post looking for ones that dont. I am not a noob, I have flashed my phone over 40 times, I know what I'm doing. I simply cant find a ROM that does not have the XT9 built in

There is your answer. Plain and simple. If you feel I am flaming you then maybe you need to step back and realzie I am not. But whatever... Its not important. I apologize if I came across as rude. I cant help. IM rude! Thats why I get all those thanks... almost a 1,000 in 6 weeks. hmmmm. I must be a... oh god, dont make me say it.... Anyways to answer your question. If it is excluded it would be noted by the chef. A good chef is going to list what is not inthe ROM so people dont flash expecting function A and its not there. So you should beleive that if it is not noted as removed its still in there. When you see one that is excluded you know you got the ROM you are looking for.

I personally dont know of any.

Have you considered using the PPCK to cook one without? Its moduled in that kitchen so it s pretty easy to do....

I also "think" boreds rom may have it excluded but not sure. It has ungodly amounts of free RAM but you should post there and find out. He stripped something out to get that RAM ;c)

EDIT: You shoudl have also noted that you tried to search. You made no indication of that at all! Start off with, "Ok, I searched here and here using these terms and this did not produce the results I wanted. Can you anyone tell me......."

EDIT2: You should also note what carrier youa re searching for if you want a carrier specific ROM.

Just to expand upon what Scott said and a few things to consider:

1. The "upgrade" forum is always gonna be a bit more caustic...just the nature of the beast.

2. PPCGeeks does pride itself as a community, not just a website. So yes, at times we get on each others nerves and p!ss each other off (I know I've made Scott mad before).

3. Look at the thread as a whole...don't look at just one post.

4. Most of our members will fess up and apologize if you call them on something (either in public or in a pm).

5. Have fun and remember to drink plenty of water.

before you flash any type of custom rom make u find the thread for how to flash read carefully and make sure u UNLOCK your phone site not responsible for any damges..good luck
