I got ahold of an alternate set of video drivers from another rom (ddi.dll), that are supposed to help out a lot with the TP's draw performance in landscape mode. However, the dll was posted as a "module" that was extracted from the XIP. If I understand correctly, this has to somehow be packed back into the XIP of Scott's kitchen if I want to cook it into my ROM, but this is way out of my field of know-how.... Google not being much of a help here either. Can someone here help point me in the right direction?

wow... yeah, that's a pretty tricky one... i bet if anyone would have the answer to that, it's gonna be lllboredlll.

I haven't seen him in a few days, and i'm not sure how he responds to PM's... but you may want to try that.

If however, you do find a way... please post back with your results.

In the meantime, i'll do a little research as well, but i would hold your breath on me.

Anyone gotten the Garmin software to work with this kitchen? I was running it fine on the 3.0 one but now it just doesn't run. Shows the spalsh screen and then just goes away?

I swear... the quest for better video drivers is going to turn me into a chef!!! I am working with tools right now to get the xip.bin extracted from Scott's kitchen, and will try to insert this ddi.dll module into the xip, pack it all back up, and cook myself a new rom with it :D

EDIT..... NOPE!!! I am trying to use Fattool, ROMmaster, and srpxtool to try to extract a xip.bin from the os.nb.payload from Scott's kitchen... but all of these tools are giving an error that basically says the file doesn't match whatever they are looking for... I was able to extract xip.xprs from os.nb.payload, but can't extract xip.xprs to xip.bin.

WOW... ok, so for the very first time i just had the continuous vibrate email notification thing happen.

Here's the senario:
Was not using the phone but the screen was active sitting on the home tab, no power plugged in.
Email notifications are set to play an alarm and vibrate. I have 1 exchange account, 1 gmail account (IMAP4 hybrid) and 3 IMPA4 accounts.

I received a notification on the exchange account and before that one was finished 2 more notifications came in on one of the IMAP4 accounts. The second notification just simply never stopped vibrating until i click the email icon in the taskbar.

Not sure what all that means, i was just lucky enough to see exactly what happened to get that symptom.

Maybe if anyone else having this issue can add to this... maybe we can figure it out. Just thought i would share.

no luck... I must have the wrong tools for extracting files from this os.nb.payload. I keep getting errors with various tools that in laymans terms are basically saying they are looking for X data at Y position and not finding it. I got these tools from various other WM forums.... but I have a feeling they are designed for specific devices/roms.

I have to go to work so have no more time to mess with this now...

It's happened to me about five times, give or take. I know for sure once or twice my screen was off, and I *think* has been both plugged in and not...about 80-90% certainty there.

But the one thing I have always had was it always sitting on a desk, not in vibrate mode. When it's on my belt I keep it on vibrate and it has never done it on my belt.

I also have the e-mail notification set to play alarm and vibrate.
