PPCGeeks - +Feb 5+ *SSK 1.2 Stable* {CE OS 21109} Kitchen and ROM

Just tried to recreate the vibrate / sound issue... not having much luck, mine works fine. Is there a certain amount of time you think it needs to be on vibrate before this happens?

As far as mail goes, i haven't had any issues since my lockup last night.

No. I have just been working and got a MMS that would play sound, then started noticing that there was no sound at all for the phone so I had to soft reset.

What about the Outlook thing? Is anyone seeing this?

This is exactly why I don't back-up. Instead I install from scratch using UC, and provxml in any other regedits / settings / ini files, option files etc. Only thing I re-do each time is Bluetooth device set-up and exchange e-mail account set-up.

Any reason in particular you don't us UC to setup your Exchange account?

No, but i was just browsing the web on the phone, got and email notification and it did that continuous vibrate thing... so yeah-ish, some weirdness.

I don't know if this is related, but I initially had an issue with this version where the phone would not ring with incoming calls. I missed several calls because of this lack of ringer. It seems to have gotten better after a soft reset, but it probably bears watching. Otherwise, this seems to be running fast and stable for me.

I haven't been able to get Exchange to work correctly through UC. There are security policies setup with the server and I have to select 'ok' before the first sync. Could this be why it doesn't work? All the fields are already filled in....all I have to do is hit 'sync' and then hit ok when the popup appears.

i also can agree that the phone doesnt always work with sounds. I have missed calls randomly and txting doesnt always sound either. I also nocited this with beta .4 and .3 also but never posted any data about it.

so it might need a look into with this. i use vito sms chat. if i have an open convo with someone it makes no sound notifications when i recive txts but if i minimize it it makes some of the txt sounds. that the only one i know i can make it happen.

It works sort of! It doesn't automatically sync. I have to go in and re-check the boxes for email, contacts, notes and tasks. I also have to re-enter my password. All other fields are filled out. Then I click 'sync' and then 'ok'

If someone stole the phone, SD card and all, and hard-reset it, the UC would just fire right up and give them access to all my e-mails. It's not a big enough problem (nor do I re-flash and re-set-up my exchange account frequently enough) to bother.

Oh, and it woudl be a pain in the a$$ to code it up properly as an XML...
