Voided Warrenty With Flashing.
 

Just wondering.
I'm really happy with my current ROM. While it can be backed up and restored if I have to go to my Sprint store for any reason it could be a hassle.

Most of the chefs brand their ROMs and kitchens.
If these branding were removed or even changed to mimic a stock ROM then the phone relocked.
Could the store notice the difference between it and a heavily tweaked phone?
I'm sure a master reset with the subsequent apps and tweaks "self loading" would give it away but besides that I'd think it would be pretty hard.

I'd like to tweak my ROM to do just that.

if you ever have to bring it back why dont you just flash back to the stock sprint rom, then relock your phone? problem solved.

i don't think they care. most of the reps at the store can't tell the difference anyways. if you really want to be safe, just keep a stock rom on your computer. flash it when you need it and then relock the phone...

Better safe then sorry... At least flash it to the stock ROM... Re-locking it is not critical...

Anytime you bring it back into the store I would flash the stock ROM back and re-lock the phone. You never know, one of those reps might know what they are doing. hehe

I guess I'm a little tired of flashing and all the restoring that goes with it.
For small things, I' dlike to go and complain about the weird texting issuses I sometimes have but they might want to see the phone for some reason.

It's not worth 6 flashes and a restoring to do that.
If the ROM had the correct build I think it could get by.
While the AKU can be changed in the registry the SYS can't(?) and going into "Device Info" just about always gives it up totally.

It wouldn't take much for a tech to see that.

I'm on my fifth TP and all I've ever done is flashed back to the stock sprint Rom and haven't worried about relocking when returning the defective units and have had no problems.

Re-locking is not a must but it depends where you live. Some reps do not alot and might just void warranty so is up to you to re-lock it or not. I personally have never relock mine but then again IM in Oklahoma..lol
