Same here! if only they understood that it's more than just a phone, maybe comparable to their obsession with shoes/purses. lol.

I love this rom, the only issue i've had is when trying to send a text, if I use the on-screen keyboard and I start typing someone's name it will give me suggestions from my phone book, but if I use the hardware keyboard, it won't give me any suggestions. Any suggestions?

I get suggestions for people from my address book when I use the hardware keyboard. It just takes a bit longer than previous roms. I actually prefer it this way, because then I don't have lag when typing the name as it looks up names for every single character. If you pause for a second, you should see the name resolve.

I am noticing that the SMS messages are not consistently being marked as read. Once even my outgoing message stayed bold and showed as a new SMS(??). I read that others were having this problem with other roms and that there was a fix. I'll look that up and try it. I just wanted to make note of this for possibly needing a fix for the next rom.

It doesn't seem that opening "all messages" and viewing the thread fixes it every time, either.

Upon further reading in the forums, this SMS issue looks like it might be deeper than I thought. I see it posted that the only way to fix it is go back to a different ROM built on a different SYS version. i could swear I read a thread with a fix for it, but I see several open-ended threads with no fix, and can't find the thread with the fix. Still looking...

sms issue resolve

replace htmlnote.dll in sys\redist from an earlier sys like 19972...

This has to be corrected before building the rom!

Aha! Thanks for posting that. Hopefully we can look forward to this being fixed in a future release...
