mine works fine.

Are both of you running the April 25th ROM (revision 2) that corrects the sounds and text issues? I just soft reset again and it still will not launch. Did either of you change the default page pool size? The only thing I can think of is that I changed the page pool size to 24MB. I will re-download the ROM and flash it without making any changes.

You guys have to let the phone provision before quick gps will work. Also you have to use ActiveSync a couple of times for the System to sync. It doesn't just happen on the fly for first time start up.

Guys,

If you read back, yes I know this thread is humungous, but I am very very experienced with the corrupt ringtone issue. I spent days of changing things around, testing things out, I converted all sounds to wav's and deleted the wma's. I have everything very well documented in this thread. I posted a running log for days of everything I've done to resolve the ringtone issue. Read the following post you'll see I found one of my rolling posts..

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...ostcount=10685

With the first 4/25/09 update the ringtone issue did not appear at all. I didn't have the phone hibernating for a long time either though.

When I went with the second 4/25/09 update and woke up thismorning it is back.

I've not let the phone hibernate at all today and so far so good. Everything is working so far.

Also just because you don't have it at the moment doesn't mean you wont get it.. I have nothing except arcsoft installed and sms160 and titanium mods on here and it happened to me. The bug is there.. The ONLY thing I can say from all the builds that helps trigger it is having the device off for a long period of time.. thats the only thing I can say. That and having the alerts and tones in .wma format.

And yes I am well aware this is pre-release beta software. I've reminded others of that very fact. I am very appreciative to be able to try Wm6.5 and see what its like. I should be able to however, be allowed to be a little frustrated when I've spent many days flashing, reflashing, hard resetting, converting things, posting and talking to others to figure it out, and then think its finally licked to have it come back hehehe. When theres a bug, like Mighty Mike, I go nuts until I have it figured out..

I think as much as we all want the lastest and greatest of things, we have to understand that wm6.5 does have bugs and except this! If your looking for better stability and less bugs or even bug free stick w/ wm6.1 MR4.16 for a little while longer until 6.5 bugs are worked out!!
