Flashed back to Alltel Dump Rom ?
Ok members I flashed back to the stock dump rom from the alltel list went good and everything. I have a problem now when the screen goes blink because it timed out well I hit the power button nothing happens it won't get the phone out of standby? if I reset the phone with the stylus it boots up again. then the same thing over again can't get the phone out of standby. after it goes in standby? I used autoflippers Alltel dump and RU.
I flashed the phone first with juicy but didn't like how some things were setup. Any help would be appreciated Duane mI |
Re: Flashed back to Alltel Dump Rom ?
Start-Settings-System-Key Lock. It should be on "Lock all buttons except Power button". I've used the stock rom that is available in the sticky and I did not have to change this setting so I'm wondering why you do. Sounds like you need to hard reset. You really should do that after every flash. Maybe you downloaded the wrong alltel rom dump. There are 2 separate links for the alltel stock rom download. Did you get the first or the second one? The first one is the one you want to use.

Re: Flashed back to Alltel Dump Rom ?
I had the same problem, soft reset was the only way. Give me a little bit and I will get you the way I undid that. Thing was that I downloaded two different alltel roms. the first one made my sleep button inop. i renamed and replaced the file with the other and got it right.....
Be back with some instructions in a few........ Gary |
Re: Flashed back to Alltel Dump Rom ?
Ok this is what I did.....
Everything you need can be found here: *All credit to ImCokeMan, Conflipper etc, this is not my work.......* Code:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42741Code:
Alltel (Thanks conflipper): (Must still be unlocked aka hardSPL as with all dumped roms)That file has the RUU utility that will flash your phone but has a bad rom file. Keep reading....... Once you download, unpack the rar file and look in the folder. You will find a file called: RUU_signed.nbh delete that file. We will be replacing it soon. That file causes the problem it is for a model 500 not 800 like the TP. DOnt know what 500 is for, I know a stock Alltel TP should have model 800. I recall looking in my settings after flashing that original Alltel rom and it said 500 and that was the one I had problems with, so lets get rid of it. Ok now, back on the original post download the file: Code:
ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Raphael/Users/ImCoKeMaN/StockAlltelHermanOSBigstorage_RUU_dumped.rarOnce you have that, rename it to the same name of the file we deleted earlier: RUU_signed.nbh make sure it is exactly the same, i didnt try it but i am sure its case sensitive, so just make sure it matches exactly. Copy your new RUU_signed.nbh file into your Alltel Stock Rom dump/RUU folder that has all the other stuff you need and viola! It will reflash your phone and everything will be back to normal. Then all you have to do is relock the phone and you are golden Now I take NO credit for any of the files and I routinely get lost here. It was only by trial and error that I found this worked out correctly. So thatnks to everyone else whose threads I borrowed from. Hope this helps. THere may be a faster way but I am a NOOB and I probably went around my elbow to get to my a$$ but in the end it worked perfectly for me. Gary |
