1) frozen about 3 times when trying to read, send or write a txt message
2) slow responce when trying to use email and surfing the net.

anyone else having any of these issues???

Update: Thinking about going back to 1.4

I just had the slow response issue. Soft-reset fixed it. I have several other programs that I have installed that didn't come with the ROM. I havent had time yet to eliminate those programs from fault. Most of them are GPS programs. I'll probably hard-reset to get it back to stock 1.5 and let it run for a day.

Hey Kev, I was wondering if you could setup the next release with a 32mb Dynamic pagepool? Or have you considered that at all? I can change the pagepool to 32mb Static, but not dynamic very easily. Really wondering how that would affect performance. Sounds like having a 32mb Dynamic pagepool is the way to go. From checking out various threads, it sounds like having it set to dynamic increases performance. I wonder if this would resolve or help some of the program lags that happen occasionally.

Kev, the only problem I'm having with 1.5 is a Voice Command issue. I can get it to announce messages (email & text) over the bluetooth automatically. But for some reason incoming call announcements are not working via bluetooth or the phone speaker. You can hear that it is trying to. I mean the audio gateway opens up when a call comes in, but nothing is actually said, its just dead air. Text message reading is working beautifully.

At least the message announcments are working, this is the most important part. Its not really a big deal if the phone doesn't tell me who is calling. Just an FYI.

A little more detail about call notification. When you enable announce incoming calls it actually messes up incoming ringing all together. You can hear the speaker activate, but nothing is said and then the actual ringer never rings either.....well, sometimes it does but it is cut off, so it is just a really super short ring.

Just a FYI. I am having a crazy busy week. I will keep responding in the thread but it is going to be pretty sporadic. I will be around more this weekend.

2 things that may be simple things.
During a phone call, back light goes off, not a major problem. May be covered else where.

Next item, would be that the back doesn't always work for Comm Manager.

Thanks Kevan for doing great work. These are minor issues that don't matter if they don't get resolved.

Go to Settings\Diamond Tweak. Make sure "Fast Sleep" is disabled. I also make sure "Light Sensor" is disabled during a phone call also. This will keep the phone from turning off when you put it up to your face.

Haven't had an issue with the Comm Manager yet.

Take for instance I go to aol. sign in and when I get to mail, there are no links to new mail, sent mail, etc. It also doesnt show any new mail on the home screen. All i get is a message saying that aol has been optimized for the browser.

Couple forums I go to, when I try to respond via the click reply button, when the text box comes up I cant select it. No matter how many times I click on it, all it does is zoom in or out. No blinking cursor ever appears to enter text.

Anyone else with this problem or any help to solve it?

Try changing the changing the User Agent id in Opera.

1. Open Opera, erase everything from the URL field.
2. Type in "opera:config" without the quotes. This opens the Preferences Editor.
3. Scroll down to "User Agent", change to 2. Click SAVE.
4. Close Opera and open again.
5. Check to see if it works now.

BTW, the Sprint stock rom has User Agent set to 2, but all cooked roms have it set to 1 by default. This will probably resolve your issue.(at least i hope so)

Just saw this program call "Metro" ( http://nanika.net/metro/ )

Métro is your free guide on PDA (Palm, PocketPC, Smartphone...) to public transport systems worldwide (400 cities covered now).

Link to the list of covered cities http://nanika.net/metro/MetroV-en.html

Looks like a really good application/database for public transportation networks and also include "Places of Interest" for some of the cities. And since the information/files are inside your phone memory, don't need Internet/phone connection.

Does this work for you? Your backlight stays on during a call? I have tried the diamond tweak, edited the registry directly and every other thing I could find, and you are the first post I have read anywhere that this works. There's alot of people trying to figure this out. It's a common problem with cooked ROMS. I am on v1.5 right now.
