Thought I'd post a battery update. Before I do, I just wanted to say I love this ROM and how it looks. I think it's really great.

with KK's Loaded Rom v1.3 and Telus Radio 1.04.05V
+ activesync and taskfacade running
light use (few short calls, few texts and emails)
After 5 hours of use, down to ~75%
--confirmed two days in a row


with Sprint Signed Rom 1.03.651.4 and Telus Radio 1.04.05V
+ activesync and taskfacade running
light use (few short calls, few texts and emails)
After 5 hours of use, down to 92%
--confirmed two days in a row

So I don't think the battery life can be pinned on the taskfacade. But it's a significant drain. When I'm using KKs Rom it seems like every time I turn on the phone, the percentage is less than when I last looked. With the updated sprint rom, sometimes the percentage hasn't moved despite half an hour passing by.

I do think there is a significant difference, which is too bad because I love everything that KKs rom comes with.

Has anyone tried this 1.3 version? I did and it locked on the rainbow screen. And activesync popped up with the window like it was installing itself again, and would not see the phone. I thought I bricked but it came back after a power cycle. I'm going to wait to try it again.

UPDATE: I just flashed using bootloader with no issues. Not sure what happen with the activesync.

No problem flashing v1.3 but I flash via bootloader and not active sync.

You rock if you are at 92% with any ROM after 5 hours. Is the phone even on during this time? :)

As I have said before I love this ROM. I am installing 1.3 right now. I personally am glad that TaskFacade is gone because I never used it. I use the voice command feature all the time and would just remap the talk key to voice command. I was wondering if you had any plans on adding any FB apps to your ROM. I found this a few days ago and am going to be testing it out. Any thoughts?

I am happy to add some Facebook apps to the ROM. I just need feedback on which work well and then try them out myself.

Thanks for the ROM... This is my first try at flashing and I'm liking....

Is there supposed to be a thin red and yellow line along the top left side of the screen?

That is a battery meter. When your TP is fully charged, the line will go all they way across and be green on the right side.

Here is my take so far on battery life.

The other day, when I was still on 1.1, i had unplugged my phone from charger at 11am. Had about 30 minutes of talk time on it, 20-30 texts, and a whole bunch of "messing around" on the phone. Got sick that night and forgot to plug it in. At 10am when I finally was feeling better from crazy *** food poisoning. My charge was at 72%!!!!! I was like WTF?!?!?! I used my phone the rest of the day and I was down to 22% at the end of the night. That was with 1.1. Unbelievable battery life if you ask me.

I'm now using 1.3, and had 1.2 on there for a couple hours. So i'll report back later today on the battery performance.

My only problem with the rom is that it's so loaded with programs to keep me busy, I'm not getting any work done. :smile:
