FIRST ROM BUILT!!! But doesn't load?
 

It's stuck at the boot screen, I had to reflash fro sd back to another...Sound familiar to anyone?

If it's a cooked rom you built, try going with the pre selected options first, see if that builds and try flashing that one. If that works, then it was probably an option you selected. You will have to do one option at a time till you find it.

Which rom base and kitchen did you use? That would be the place to start looking...

I just using the Herman files (correct ones to my understanding...). Everytime I go to Raphael, it only gives me AT&T as a carrier...

yah Raph is GSM hermanC is CDMA.

but CDMA is also referred to as Raphael...

confusing eh. long story short sounds like a driver issue

I hope not, but any rom I flash sooms to leave my boot-up image there (theblack"TP" one). Could it have something to do with that?

Well probably not and you are not exactly giving a whole lot of information. Give a link to what rom/kitchen you are using or trying to use.

no the rom wont over write boot up images unless you include it in the OS nbh

Yes it happens to me with the PPC Kitchen. Its because, as others have pointed out, that you may have some selections that dont agree with each other.

Also, what ver of CE OS are you building on? That has a big impact too. I have yet to get any ROM from that ktichen working with anything other than 20931 using just the base OEM's included. Still have yet to see 20754 on my phone as that was my fav CE OS. Which is why I broke off and just did my own kitchen thanks to conflipper.

But yeah, check and rebuild like the senior peeps said. Be patient and you will get it. Everyone cooks a screwed up ROM every once in a while. Once you get it just right you will never be so proud or happy!

I'm not using any specific kitchen, just what eRice's thread said to D/L for VZW Tp's...speaking of which, Dream's Rom got me out of the lock-up at boot, but I'm still stuck with the TP bootup (I wanted that! lol). There was a Enlarge start menu option that was highlighted yellow during cooking. What does that mean cause when that happens, I can't select them...

Well this is everything that happened pretty much...

I built the cooked the rom check the build status along the way (assuming it is where confilcts are alerted) and nothing there once I finished. The rom basically had RaphTF3D, WMWifi, and like 4 outher things in it to keep the OS size down...I set the pagepool to 24 (assuming they mean MB's and was something I seen successful on Dream's rom) and clicked the green arrow.

NOW...when it said it was doing the pagepool, it error out about not being about to hack in or not having permission to write over something (I was excited to I just clicked though...:drunken:) hoping it was just Windows being retarted. EVERYTHING else was successful and prompted me for the flash, I flashed and never moved past the screen with red leters that displays the radio version.

OK...so I wen to reflash both VZN2.2 from Scrosler and another one a couple f time and nothing was happening until I reflashed Dream 0.7_7 24pp rom on it. Now, I 'm just back to VZN2.2 (I cannot get away from that TF3D interface you have on this version man...).

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

PS-Scott, if you crack the pagepool on V2.2 with the animating TF3D, I will gladly send some cash at you FAST!

Wow - you are really confusing.

Sounds like you are using ppckitchen herman base to cook a vzw touch pro? Did you make the vzw modifications?

Pagepool is completely unrelated to the rest of the rom. There are several threads on how to do it (or you can run it through ppckitchen, and that will do it).

Take this version of TF3D and increase the framerate to what the VZW and Sprint TF3D interface runs at without too much lag between apps running/closing/opening (don't we all...lol). I will just install the cabs I need later to run from my SD to conserve space...

Two steps ahead of you chief.

I have a beta if you want to try.... Its identical to 2.1 / 2.2 except for the new base and page pool tricks. Its called VZ Nav 3.0 Extereme Edition. Im going to market it for enthusiast ONLY.

Also, I posted the cab I used to make the OEM for TF3d black manila. I found it on XDA. SOme dude named loan ranger made it... Or something. I fell in love with it too... I willn ever give that version up for NOTHING.

The CAB should flow right over the 3.0 no problem. Its in my MiniWiki on post #3.

aaron, I checked out the video....

Couple things.....

1. Diamond Hologram works as intended. You need to keep your finger on the enter button the whole time. You know the touch sensitve one int he middle of the d-pad.... Yeah.... I didint knwo that either....
Secondly on that... You need to tap the screen and select options...
Form there increase the speed and the smoothness to max.... You wont be leive your eyes! Trust me. I found that it even had options by accident.

2. TF3D..... Hmmmm.... How can I make it slide faster.... Hmmm...
Ok, you got my attention... I will see what I can do. I dont really use all the tabs. I just use 5 of them. I sorta use like SPB mobile shell or something. But yeah, I can look into it. I didint tweak it at all. Just the OS I was working on for now...

You can also grab the cab if you dont want to mess with the beta I have. PM me and lets take the discussion there....
