I used it on all my own custom ROM's and the VZW Stock ROM without issue.

Like, I can get it to work smoothly. But it makes my SMS keyboard lag worse. haha.
Anyone using the old Manilla + barely any hardware keyboard lag?
Also, did you replace all the files manually, run the cab for it, or cooked it in a ROM yourself?

What are you using to install the old Manila?

Having issues with the weather tab?

Text/background combinations ok on every tab?

I was using the HTC black theme but kept running into issues, I love having the animations, just looking for the "proper" way to do it.

I think I used this to install it:
http://theloanranger.romraid.com/tlr-manila.cab
I'm not having issues with the weather tab.
I just had to reinstall my weather database editor to get it working again.
I'm using Dreams ROM at the moment and it runs really smooth and the keyboard lag is very minimal in the SMS app. But after I loaded the old Manilla, the SMS keyboard lag got worse. I mean, the animations and stuff on the old Manilla run pretty smooth, but yeah, it brought the SMS lag back a bit. I'm trying to look for a way to be able to run the old Manilla and still not have SMS keyboard lag. Anyone else know of a proper way to install the old Manilla? The cab I'm using is completely uninstallable, so I'd have to either hard reset or replace all the Manilla files with the newest Manilla files I have to get rid of it.

Its an older vrsion for GSM devices. It was version 1.0.x.x.

I our CDMA devices have version 1.2.3.x.x

The "older" version has more animation affects, especially when going from tab to tab.

I used the same one the OP posted and created an OEM for it. I have no issues at all. One thing about the GSM version, it doesnt SEEM to take alterations or modifications as nicely as the CDMA version. I beleive the problem is that there are very minor differnces in the file structures here or there. Its .2.x revisions older so go figure....

The other notable affect in the 1.0.x.x. version is that the slider seems to lag just a hair.

Thats my two cents. Hope it clarified.

Another thing I wanted to try doing, back burner project, is to replace the EXE and DLLS files in that cab with the newers from CDMA phones. I wonder how that would affect it?

That CAB replaces the DLL, the EXE's and the wether database. Its a complete OEM that was cabbed up it appears to me.
