This version really does have faster scrolling than the OEM release on the Touch Pro, but it breaks to much functionality on the device to warrent upgrading.

To stop opera from auto reopening open a registry editor and go to HKEY_Current_USER\software\HTC\Bootlauncher\Apps\

delete the opera entry.

What does it break? Gsensor rotate & dpad zoom? I'll give those up because those were the annoying things. Opera always seemed to jump to landcape unneccesarily and zooming was sketchy with Opera jumping to the left or top of the page so you had to scroll to realign. So far this one loads the page and it seems solid. Zoom in and it sticks right to your zoom choice click a paragraph of text right below the one you are reading that is a different alignment and opera slides to it and raligns perfectly.

So far the current opera mini is blazing fast but this opera mobile is the best one so far of the many builds I have tried.

From testing out I noticed that opera now plays flash videos from youtube and some "OTHER" sites.

1. Could not zoom with my d-pad
2. Opens to blank page, not my homepage
3. Opens by itself (I see that there is a hack to correct this)
4. G-sensor does not work

I'm running 9.5 b2649 right now, so why whould I want to switch to this build?

(Again, thanks for all of your contributions, I'm just trying to figure this out)

1. It is a bit more responsibe.
2. It now plays videos just like skyfire. Youtube, crunchyroll veoh and more. You can watch the videos in it's zoomed out phase, zoom in or hold for an option to go full screen.

Can the g sensor be fixed by using gyrator????

i dont find losing the dpad scroll or gsensor that big a deal. Theres a slider bar on screen on the right side and did anyone ever really use the gsensor besides to show off? If you open the keyboard it flips normally.

#2 and 3 ca be fixed.

Ok, that's cool... I see that hack for the auto reopen, and I can just delete the default disable opera event in Gyrator 2. So that only leaves me with the d-pad scroll, which I use all the time. And the home page issue.

Any thoughts?

I haven't figured out how to get past the homepage thing. I've changed the settings in the options menu and even confirmed that they are changed through the hidden config menu "opera:config".

Juggalo_X for some reason the VR hologram program fails to load after installing the omnia d3d drivers. I don't use that program much but just to let you know.

I am running your latest rom and get the error: "The sample has run into an error and needs to close:DriverINvalidCallException"

Using this Opera cab, I see opera9.exe is in /windows. What directory are all the settings (like opera.ini)?

I want to make sure I don't get things confused with the opera from ROM.

What version was the ROM opera?

Is this opera newer/better than the opera here?

I did a few things while making this cab, i was sure to place the install path has being in application data. the reason i did was because in the end it will make the device faster. With less programs in the Windows folder and everythign else. it makes it faster. well give it a week or so, and other cooks will be using this, and everythign else. at the current time if your opera was install in the applicaton data, if you have older files in your windows device right now, it will overwrite the .exe programs, but some of the older files will still be there.

but once the rom cooks start to pick this up, then i am sure it will be used quite a bit then.

Re: *Comming Soon* Opera Mobile Browser 9.5 Build 15233 VGA, CAB, OEM and FLahs Lite

I found it in application data. Once I downloaded the .ini file, I see you also put the cache on the storage card. That's nice.

Will play with this more.

Still wondering how it compares to the "official" opera mobile that I linked to just above here.

im working on widgets, it may have something ot do with them being samsung cert signed and that the whole omnia is widget capable so i think this cab is missing a crucial file

When I click a link in pocket outlook it still tries to open the old opera loader. I switched all the file associations to the new opera.exe with Advanced Config. How do I make the new Opera the default in poutlook?

I'm sure that it doesn't matter but I first killed opera using dotfred's task manager. I then installed flash then omnia d3d. After a softreset I killed opera again and installed opera. Reseted again and it works.

I did an uninstall of the stock Opera with SK tools first, and then the new one installed and works fine. This might help folks have less trouble getting it to work. :)

youtube etc working fine for me with the Juicy ROM. installed the first two files, soft reset, then installed Opera. Faster load times and zoom bar on right side of screen are pretty cool!

Re: *Comming Soon* Opera Mobile Browser 9.5 Build 15233 VGA, CAB, OEM and FLahs Lite

its from the omnia, it is in the lines of 1957 opera build, and the 2520 if you had those on your QVGA phones. Titan or Vogue.

Javascript
Flash support
Faster load times
Faster Scrolling (it preloads the page with javascript and it then uses that to help scrool)

Zoom is on the right hand side

If you were familar with the 1957 opera build, it is very similar.

Re: *Comming Soon* Opera Mobile Browser 9.5 Build 15233 VGA, CAB, OEM and FLahs Lite

Still having problems. Some info to maybe help this development later:

I'm using Juggalo's rom.

I uninstalled the new TCMPM deleted its flash, uninstalled all the drivers/flashlite/opera 9.5 the new build.

Juggalo has opera 9.5 cooked into it so I'm not quite sure how to delete teh stock one but I killed the processes and delted the preloadere in the registry so it wouldn't cause any conflicts.

Installed flash and DED drivers, reset, renstalled 9.5 no conflicts, and still no video.

I've got TCPMP so it's not that bad but still having it in the browser would be pretty tight
