Re: Stock Sprint ROM, but faster?

yeah, but youd have to reflash

download the dumped sprint rom, use a hex editor and change the page pool and flash

I am just looking for examples of how exactly it's faster? I dont plan to tweak until the next official rom update comes out, b/c I dont want to mess with flashing a rom that is ripped in case something goes south.

You got to be kidding me. The stock sprint ROM on both of my TPs is slow as hell. Like, when you select mail from TF3D, it takes at least a full second if not closer to 2 for it to show the envelope. With neu, Juicy, eRice, or just about any other custom ROM, the TF3D interface is instantaneous. Apps launch faster too. Beach-ball hour-glass appears for less time when it does appear. Etc.

You can do like I do, just modify the stock rom. A link to a thread with titan/vogue/diamond/raphael kitchens and tutorial is in my sig.

How to Customize a Custom Rom: Adding/Removing Programs
Does your favorite Chef include files/programs that you don't use? This will show you how to delete those programs you don't use and insert the ones that you do use! (This method doesn't always work with a PPCKitchen.org custom rom).

I too really would like to see Worldcard Mobile incorporated into a custom ROM, but I thought it was tougher to do because of the licensing on the software.

Maybe one of the chefs can do a business ROM??? Include all the battery and speed tweaks of a custom ROM, but leave Office and Worldcard in the ROM (if possible).

I'm running Juicy's 4.5 now and like it, also ran JD's 3.3 and loved it... but neither have worldcard.

They don't work. It will install on your phone, but never opens when you try to open the file. Juicy said there was some licensing issues... but did not elaborate.

Ivan's ROM is pretty much what I was looking for. Anyone who wants stock sprint with speed fixes should try his out.

just soft reset before the customizations start and then install the cabs that you want from the windows folder and find the TF3D theme you want to use.

I dont see why not. You would need to hex edit the ROM then apply the fix. There are tons of posts on how to do this. If I can find one real quick I will link it other wise check the next couple pages of the main upgrades.

If you do tryu this can you let us know how it turns out? I have never thought of doing it before and think it would be a fun exp.
