It is not a reg file. I changed out the 3 SIP's. I used the one's from the beta1 kitchen and it worked. I don't know what Calkulin changed in the 1.4a, but it was something that apparently didn't need to be.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\keyboard layout\Preload]

No objections from me.

Ok all, here is Calkulin's original 1.4 kitchen that he posted Wednesday night. I am aware he put out 1.4a, in attempts to fix the keyboard problem. So I made the neccessary changes to the original one to fix the keyboard problem. i don't know what he changed in 1.4a, but it is apparent the change he made wasn't needed. This is temporary, until Calkulin return from his vacation:

Also, I cooked with Meridins Black Keyboard so if someone wishes to cook and flash with the Touch Pro Keyboard and report back that would be great. Thanks!

EDIT: Seems more issues are apparent in this release than just the keyboard, link taken down.

well i beat it in to submission. i can't say for sure but i did re-install(?) gps and the 2nd time i did after messing around with gps related tools the gps did kick in.

now.....the tricky part is that it still doesn't always work. it's about 50/50 now. this is with vznav. sometimes vznav works great and sometimes it just immediately concludes it's not goign to work. again, like it doesn't even try. i click on "where am i?" for instance and instantly an error is displayed that gps is not available. keep in mind i live in an area where i can lock in on 10 to 12 satellites using gc's or scott's roms.

not being an expert by any means i can only conclude there is ...sometihng... with this build that isn't quite right but unless someone points me in a direction i'll probably not find the reason.

this problem aside i really dig the look and feel. i'm running the xbmod hd manilla with the white/blue flip clock and i lvoe the way it looks. additionaly the phone is extremely responsive and quick. it is definitely worth trying out if you like to play like me. i switch back and forth between this and scott's about once a week for a week or so at a time.

Try the 1.4 I posted before your post and let us know if it works.

It would seem that the changes he made effect T9. It's the old "fix" that literally F's up the compact QWERTY. It will only dial numbers now.....it's almost more annoying then the T9 is....

Having problem s with guickGPS but that could be anything. I'll continue to test for now and see what I can find.

GPS isn't working either.....

I am going to have to go back to 1.4 beta until Calcu gets back and has a chance to look this one over. I am a little surprised that he made such huge changes when he went from 1.4 beta to the final 1.4.....

Ok, my QuickGPS isn't working either. And it seems that ever since this morning I am stuck in '1X' mode continuously, no 'EV'. Looks like I'll be going back to 1.4 Beta myself. I did see where Calkulin had changed 3 gps .dll's from being modulized in the beta to regular (or whatever it is called) in the 1.4 release. I'm also going to take down my link I posted. Thanks!

I noticed the evdo problems myself... To fix that i had to go to network b instead of roaming only. In the area I live sprint doesn't have evdo and i need roaming to get alltel's evdo but this was the only one that would work. Sucks there's so many issues, I'm going to leave it on and see what other bugs pop up as gps isn't necessary for me... Will post any issues I find later
