I too have a Verizon TP and have the PP set to 4.63 (makes starting RAM 116.00), lowered cache to 512K and that cache filter thing to 1024 sectors. Is it more sluggish? Um, yeah (duh), but I've found it to be the best balance for me on this phone. I'm running the 9-28 053 build. I would also suggest/insist that you put in an SD card and set your Opera cache to go there. That's my nickel's worth of free advice.

this is nothing major, just something i found
i was just going thru the device and all its information after the new flash, and the device info isnt updated it still reads :

ROM Version: Calkuins v2 WWE
ROM Date: 06/23/09

as i said..just something i found while checking everything out..other than that, this has to be my fave ROM to date.

:WAIT:
there is one thing that i did notice, there are 2 "Keyboard Sliding Sounds".

there is a provxml in the sliding sounds package that conflicts with the .rgu and as a result it creates the duplicate. removing the provxml remedies that

I don't know why I didn't think of this before but for anyone who wants to use the ShowcaseSuite in 6.5.1 builds...
Just add "tmail.exe" to the excluded proccesses string. So far I haven't had any lockups from messaging usage (txt or email).
-note- messaging will not "close on tap" like the rest of the programs do since all of Showcase will completely ignore it. Upside is that the OS won't crash :headbang:

I threw it in a zip incase anyone wants to use it.

Also, I want to keep this on the DL so I'm not posting it in the software section... I edited the SPBPocketPlus install cab and removed all the Today Screen, IE "enhancements", etc. All except for the File Dialog addons. Open/Save Dialog is browse-to-any-folder now.

I'll add the EXT I made later when I get back to my laptop.
It adds a super-lightweight service so I'm hoping it works really well as a module :)

i added tmail.exe to the reg key, but messaging locks up like nuts still. booooo. lol. also, i cannot sync my lotus email via easysync pro. after the first time, my ppc says it cannot find the exe on reboot. ne ideas?

Looks like when I updated sliding sounds, I carried over the provxml, so delete it from the OEM folder and it will remove the duplicate

I'm not sure if this is a known bug or not, but I did notice that the phone gets its orientation confused. For instance, I open and respond to a text message with the hardware keyboard, which means the phone is in landscape. I set the phone down and it eventually goes to standby. When I turn it back on it is in portrait. I have to close and reopen the keyboard in order to get it back to landscape. It's not a big deal, but it's a little annoying. Anybody know how to fix it?
