Went into Today settings (tricky when the screen is a big smear) and set the theme to HTC Black and the problem went away immediately! Changed back to Glossblack and problem returned so it looks like that is the issue for sure. Using a 20mb pagepool and using the OEM CDMA video drivers BTW. Not sure why that theme is working for you and not for me AMW1972. Thank you for the help all, was about to pull what little hair I had left out!

next time, may I suggest using the Omnia video driver...that is the one I use...and have NOT had an issue. I, too, experienced that smear that you spoke about...and have not encountered it using the Omnia driver. Hope this helps...

i had that same problem, i just let whichever driver the cook has by default. the way i see it, if it is checked by default, that's because the cook is in a way recommending it! but ill give that a try later on!

Update: Just tried another build with the Omnia drivers instead of OEM-CDMA and I get the same issue, smearing in titanium and start menu with Glossblack theme. I also noticed that when you switch back to Glossblack after using a different theme, the top and bottom taskbars don't look the same as they did originally, similar to the way a high-color pic looks in windows when your color depth is set to lower than 256 colors. It sure looks like the screen is not refreshing for some reason with the Glossblack theme applied. Not sure what's going on here but at least I can work using any of the HTC themes...

I've tried a couple of the calkulin roms, they are some of the smoothest roms I've seen. Only problem I'm having is some of the functionality in tf3d. File explorer doesnt work in the programs tab, contacts dont show up on dialer, people tab wont make calls, cant post on the forum from opera mobile so i have to use opera mini. Little stuff that kinda gets to u. I hard reset twice, and did a storage clear. I'm currently on the 20151 clean rhodium. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

Wow, I figured it out although it doesn't make much sense. I noticed that when WM initially came up after customizations, there was a wallpaper applied but after soft-resetting, the wallpaper was no longer there, just a black background. Digging around in folders, I found 2 wallpapers in the \My Documents folder in main memory and one was named wallpaper-glossblack.jpg. Out of curiosity, I applied it as the background and it was the wallpaper that initially came up on the device. Then I went and changed the theme back to Glossblack and VOILA, it works perfect AND the top and bottom bars look glossy like they did initially. Went and removed that wallpaper and Titanium and Start Menu smear when you scroll them. Apparently that theme is "looking" for that wallpaper to be there for it work right. Like I said, it doesn't make sense but it does seem to work that way...

DOWNLOAD THE KITCHEN, open build os, check and uncheck what you want. Close Build os, then it will basically run itself. if you have any further ?s, pm me...

edit: i wouldnt add or subtract from a kitchen till you know how to work a kitchen

This Kitchen (21812), yields the closest to perfection I have ever seen! VERY stable, not a SINGLE need for a soft reset after all my tweaks, and the battery life is amazing! I have been running it since it was posted and not a single reset has been needed. I have used many many ROMS and many Kitchens. This has never before been the case!

Way to go Cal!! You ROCK!

My opera browser doesn't open in the 21051 kitchen and the fuzeberry manila doesnt have the facebook options.
