I don't get the hard-reset thing. Some people say it helps something, others say flashing already does a hard reset and doing a 2nd one does nothing. I'm more inclined to believe the later. When you flash, it starts the ROM with an empty flash. That's all hard-reseting does anyway. ...right?

Can someone give me any technical reason why doing a 2nd hard-reset would do anything at all?

...and when are you supposed to do it? After letting it boot all the way to the calibrate screen, or before then, or what?

I really cant give you a technical answer except many people say that stray files and/or settings can hang around after the flash, I personaly have had issues b4 after flashing and a hard reset would clear them up.

I make it a point now to hard hard reset after every flash and i do it as soon as the screen saying "Touch Pro" is displayed.

Dream, How can I get the custom top bar icons like your previous ROM (The EV, Bat, etc). Is there a cab for it?
Also, The previous version had a much better file explorer on it. Is there a cab for it too?

Really? I mean really? That is your response? That was possibly the least helpful thing I have read on this forum in a long time. So let me get this straight. Something is wrong with me because i choose to explore options outside of the traditional TF3D we have. That's funny. I swore a great deal of this site was devoted to being innovative and customizing the look and or performance of these handsets. Wow. I guess something is wrong with all of us. Phone going to sleep real quick while on a call. I know this probably been talked about endlessly but I did my normal thing and installed "No Sleep Raphael" cab. But on this rom it doesn't work. It doesn't even show up in the remove programs list. This is my only issue with this rom. But besides that this , this rom is the best rom I have tried since I have been flashing. I plan to be on this one for awhile. :)

I know what you mean. I am having great success with the Lite version except the problem you outlined. I was cleaning out my voicemail just now and my phone went to sleep like 20 times. I had to keep waking it up to hit 7 to delete. Great job on the rom Dream.

So, Dream_Phyre, I learned something new today. Thought since I was $%TCHING about not being able to hard reset properly, I would share my findings with you and the group.

When I got the heads up that I had to hold the buttons in the specific order, I went back to my old method of starting without the battery in, and found out that I was just pressing the buttons in the wrong order! So, sorry if I made it sound like it was something that you caused, I truly apologize :???:

So, here's the easiest method of how to hard reset (no reset pin needed):

*After you sucessfully flash, take out your battery. Hold your phone in your left hand, with your pointer finger on the top by the power button, and your thumb on the side, by the volume buttons.

*With the phone powered off, push the VOLUME DOWN button FIRST and hold, followed by the CENTER button SECOND and hold (be careful not to hit the directional buttons on the outside of the center button,) and then finally the POWER button THIRD and hold.

*As long as you did it correctly, the phone, instead of vibrating, should go directly to the screen asking you to push VOL UP to reset.

This is definitely MUCH easier than holding your stylus in your teeth to push the pin or whatever other ingenious methods you've found to hit that reset pin.

Not sure if anybody has notice, but on this rom my phone doesnt get that hot. usually when im on a call and have my phone pluged in, it would stop charger once the phone reaches a certain temp. But ive been on the phone for 2 hours now and my phone is still charging.
Great rom Dream, the speed is excellent and i havent found any issues.

Hey Dream, are you using this phone canvas, Phone Canvas3.40.33475.0?
Mighty is using this version of s2a and it gives the hold icon on the screen while your in a call. and it also shows two callers and your able to swap up and down between them.

Downloading now I finnaly have some free time today.

One question though and I hate keep bringing this up. Does this or any of your new roms still use the Omnia display drivers?
Not a big fan of those drivers and is one of the only reasons why I keep going back at your 0.2 - 0.4 Builds lol

this was a function of the gms dialer, the cdma, AFAIK, does not have this feature. Sorry man, I liked the curtain also.

Please please please look into the gmail issue,
I used Mightys rom and he did nto have any problem with gmail,
but I would rather use your rom.

I just cannot get any of my sent emails to save to the sent email folder.

I even went to gmail and followed there set up instructions and still have the problem with your rom:

One thing I noticed between the two roms is that when I set up my email account on the mighty rom it connected to the internet and said downloading settings for gmail yet when I set up an email account with your rom it just says settings found and does not download anything.

I seem to remember that Mighty's setup Gmail using POP by default, where Dream sets it up using IMAP by default (different Outlook versions maybe?).

This would explain why you're not seeing your sent items. Just go into manage folders in your account and set it to sync the Sent Items folder. Then you can access your sent items by selecting the Sent Items folder under [Gmail] in the Inbox drop-down.
