Can't you do the hard spl from the sd card?

Here, try putting this file in the root directory of your SD card and manually put your phone into bootloader (Power + Volume Down + Reset)

No one deserves to live with a stock rom!

Use a card reader and Disk Utility (OS X) or a similar app on your phone... I went through life having never flashed my Mogul because I was confused by the whole thing, but never again!! I love my new TP and the custom (though temperamental!) ROMS!

i put that file on the card after it was formated, rebooted and now the screen just says loading and has said it for about 5 minutes... about how long should this take? im not flashing a rom just flashing the Hard SPL... also, can i flash just radios using this method?

Re: Flashing Hard SPL on Mac

Does the RUU program give you the error?? If so that was what happened with me when trying to run the manual HardSPL off the SD card. If it's stuck in the Tri-Colored screen try resetting the phone with your stylus. Try hard resetting your phone (for some reason the manual method worked for me after that) (Hold power, volume down, center d-pad button, and reset)

Here's what I did:
  • Hard Reset Phone
  • Download Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.exe and SSPLManual_Raphael.zip
  • Transfer Raphael_CDMA... to an empty folder on the desktop of your VM
  • Run Raphael_CDMA (but don't use it)
  • Now look in the above folder and find RUU_Signed.nbh and move to the root of your SD card
  • Use a file utility on your phone to rename RUU_Signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh
  • Put SSPLManual on your SD card and run the program
  • It should now flash your SPL
  • To test boot into bootloader and it should say 0.37.CMONEX
  • Delete RAPHIMG.nbh
  • Now to flash a custom ROM download one and find the file RUU_Signed.nbh... move it to the root of the SD card... rename it to RAPHIMG.nbh (using the phone) and enter the bootloader (hold power, volume down, and push the reset button)... it should now flash the ROM
Hope this helps... I know it can be frustrating when you don't want to screw anything up!

I know nothing about radios (yet...), I just started flashing not to long ago... but let me know what you find out... I'm very interested, my TP has noticeably less reception than my Mogul. Good luck!

Re: Flashing Hard SPL on Mac

Well ready, now i can give back for all the help you guys have done...
This was taken from XDA

* If you are running a foreign Version of Windows or have Regional Settings other than English US configured, please set them to English U.S. temporarily. Otherwise NBHUtil will not function correctly.
* First you'll need OliPro's NBH Util (0.92 works for the Diamond).
* Fire it up, switch to "Extract NBH"
* Select the nbh of the ROM/Radio to be flashed and hit Go
* Extract the components you need. Radio/Splash/OS. If there's an SPL in there, you can safely discard/ignore it. You have HardSPL for that.
* Make note of the Target CID, Version, Language and Chunk Size. FYI the Model ID is the problematic setting here. If it says DIAM10000 and you have a DIAM300 you're screwed.
* Switch to the Build NBH tab and select the Diamond as target
* Note how the Model ID is preset to DIAM*****. The wildcard allows any device
* Change target CID, Version, Lang & Chunk size to the values you wrote down.
* Select each saved component under the NBH items
* Hit Build NBH and save the file as RUU_signed.nbh to a folder of your choice and flash it with the DiamondCustomRUU.exe or ROMUpdateUtility.exe
* Donate to OliPro because he just made your device useful

heres the link to the program...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1216411412

BUT... in order for us Sprint users to flash for example Verzions radio, before building the final NBH, instead of saving as DIAM****, save it as RAPH800 and then it will allow you to flash any radio.

The directions seem complicated but it actually took me less than 5 minutes to do... Well about an hour to figure out but 5 minutes to build and flash  thank you all for your help

Re: Flashing Hard SPL on Mac

How does the VZW radio work compared to the Sprint one? So other than the complex extraction of the radio, you flash it basically the same as a ROM?
