i've gone back to the stock rom until bugs are worked out, but is there a way to get the button response vibrate thingy?

yea, i think it's been mentioned but after I used the TXT key on the keyboard the hardware keyboard stopped working.

i think i might try out JD's.

Wish the build I made from the kitchen didn't have so many bugs in it.

Anyone experience when switching between landscape/portrait the phone showing up? I had this happen a while back on some nuerom's for the mogul and there was regedits to fix, not sure if this is the same thing or if its just me and some app or customization ive done. feedback is appreciated

I had that problem as well. I like the direction of the rom with the mappable qwerty buttons though.

There is something wrong with 216 and 217 and the way it closes programs. First, Sashimi kept on closing. I never had this problem b4. Now, I tried to install programs using File explorer. AFter the cab installs, file explorer will just close down. I was able to soft reset and the problem went away, but then it came back as well. I'm trying to isolate the problem.

The closing of programs happened on the first boot. I just soft reset again- it seems to let sashimi run. I think the problem is the way "Ok" is pressed. I'm thinking that it is closing out the programs that way. I've tried unticking the enable x button to end running programs, but that isn't working either.

The qwerty comm button and the internet button are flip flopped. That's what my problem was. The comm button pulls up the internet button, and vice versa.

Good question. I can't figure it out. AE button plus' power off device just turns off the screen.

I even used this program: http://translate.google.com/translat...hl=en&ie=UTF-8
it says turn off, but it does the same thing as AE button plus- just blanks the screen.

Also, in the sounds & notifications, the flash light for xx is greyed out so you can't set that option for texts, vm's, etc.

In the past couple roms the HTC Task Manager auto Kill has been set too high. You can disable it in the registry or change the MemoryThreshold under HKCU\software\HTC\Taskmanager

Eureka! That explains the programs shutting down. Hell, why the heck do I need auto kill to run. I have plenty of memory. I remember I had to do a regedit so that the Mogul would not auto close programs. I never imagined my TP would auto close programs. I turned it off completely. It seemed like it needed a soft reset to take effect b/c it was still closing programs immediately afterwards.

I thanked you zachspda. The program closing was driving me nuts.

version 217:

Great Job. Here are a couple of issues:

1) The FM radio seems operational but no sound is coming out
2) when the start button is pressed the drop down menu is not visible instead it's just a big white box. However when I press where the individual entries shoud be the entire menu becomes visible.
