I believe you're running No2chem's rom if you have this problem.

This can happen with the stock rom as well...not specific to a particular rom.

Does anyone know how to keep the screen from shutting off when making a call?

There's an option for that in diamondtweak and advanced config

Personally though, I like 5.1 better. Seems faster to me

yeah 5.1 was faster but broke this build focuses on stability and fixes several issues like when u kill as it stays dead

Re: [11/7] JD's ROM

Comes down to personal preference then. The "issues" 5.1 had don't bother me so I'm sticking with speed. Thanks for a great rom! One thing though. Any idea whhy when I rebuild 5.1 without spb backup using dogguys kitchen, a bunch of things I install afterwords will not run giving me some sort of error about security?

so either stick with this build with older system files or older rom versoon with newer system files? is there anyway to fix the issues in the newer system files?

Why do you nee that I might ask? I was trying to find a way to have the screen shut off right when the phone touchs your ear like the Iphone. It saves battery to shut off the screen when you talk. If you need it on, just press the power button. I'd think you would need it off more than on.
