i'm attempting to send my touch pro in to be fixed because it wont stop randomly switching from portrait mode to landscape mode and back and was wondering which of the sprint stock roms would be best for me? should i used a dumped rom or one of the shipped ones? whats the difference?

any help will be very appreciated. a bit of a noob at this. Thanks in advance

dumped rom will just flash your OS. shipped rom will flash OS and radio. Use the updated shipped rom and then relock it and it will be ready for return.

Hm, hey guys I need to know if there's been an OFFICIAL update from Verizon for it's xv6850 Touch Pro. The stock ROM links to the original 10 2008 pre-release.

Or, if not that then maybe one from HTC yet?

nope. the only one available is the original one in the first post.

Seems Verizon Users have an update. It's suppose to unlock GPS as well as have working Visual Voicemail. I'm testing it at the moment will report back on results soon.

First note: PagePool definetly needs to be patched and turned up to 10, 6 leaves it the straight ol' Verizon way (slow as a snail)

Hi, i've been flashing for months, and now i have keyboard hardware issue that causes me to turn my phone back in for repairs(best buy). I used the 1st SPRINT stock link on the first page. Then i used the RELOCKER. from one of the stickies. how can i tell if i locked it. the rgb screen still says SECURITIES UNLOCKED, if it suppose to say locked. Please help im going to return this phone very soon.

make sure your radio is back to stock too. On the tri-color screen you should see SPL 0.37.0000 if you're locked. If you're still unlocked it will say SPL 0.37.CMONEX.

Hey llboredll, I got mine working..had to reflash... Do you have the capability to extract the new rom and use the page spool program on it?

I got a touch pro last month and I was having trouble syncing the phone so I called HTC and they told me to get online that there was an updated rom to just register my phone. I looked on the HTC site and it said once it was downloaded that it could not be reused or downloaded again so I am saving it for when and or if I need it to send it back to sprint.
