Re: vzw customization in tp kitchen
I assume you are talking about buying a Sprint TP, and trying to use that on Verizon? Do you know if they will even activate it?

Re: vzw customization in tp kitchen
vzw said they would as long as they have the esn and sn...but then even in that activation, the best thing is to have a nice good old fashioned custom rom without the sprint stuff
but still needed are vzw customizations so its a complex thing for me ![]() |

Re: vzw customization in tp kitchen
You'll need verizon settings + verizon apps. They'll be along soon enough in .cab and kitchen form, if you don't want to try to make it yourself.

I wouldn't even know where to begin to make a cab of all of this ><

Re: vzw customization in tp kitchen
I think the best way of doing it (correct me if I am wrong):
1. Unlock the phone using the Hard-SPL that was just released 2. Flash the radio with the Verizon radio (this might not be necessary as the radio should be in the leaked ROM) 3. Flash the leaked VZW rom I am not sure how a custom rom would work, you would want to ask the dev if Verizon would work or not. There are a bunch of tutorials on flashing, my experience is only with the Titan. There are general instruction for the flashing the Titan http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...itanRecentHome These techniques might or might not hold true for the Touch Pro, so keep that in mind. I would suggest writing down all the numbers they tell you to write down when flashing, ie ESN, MSID, etc... just in case something goes wrong. Good luck and have fun! ![]() Last edited by symyn; 11-03-2008 at 08:09 PM. |
