Ok, im a noob. This might sound stupid but i downloaded the .net framework and it's loading nd i downloaded the wmdc update since i have vista nd i picked my package nd downloaded it... the instructions say download hard spl to empty folder... do u mean on my computer or on my phone...nd then it says phone must be synced in windows mobile...does that just mean active sync? nd when i run the hardspl ...am i running it in my phone or on my pc...im so coonfused.

Welcome to ppcgeeks.
You download and run that file on your computer. You have vista, so once WMDC is installed and you plug phone into computer, then a sync connection will be established. Make sense?

Ok, I'd been having problems with my TP randomly hard resetting. Read somewhere that it could have been an issue with my SPL and to relock then unlock. OK, well without reloading the stock rom.... I relocked... Now I can neither unlock again nor load any rom (as it is locked)... am I bricked or is there a way out of this? Help Pls... thanks!

Additional info.... I am able to get into the boot loader screen (the locked one). When booting my phone I get to the Touch Pro Screen then phone appears to shut off. When trying to unlock (or load another rom, which it couldn't anyway since it is locked) I get to where it appears to load.. then 0% followed by com error.

If bricked, since this is only a 3 week old phone can I take to to a sprint store for return (it does have locked loader on it, only won't boot) or would I be better off using my insurance on it? Hoping this is recoverable but won't be surprised if it isnt...

im having issues with this process. i have install the Verizon MR1 update and now have an SPL-0.40.0000 not 35.0000

does anyone know a work around for this

You just need to flash the shipped stock rom and you'll be fine. I'm guessing, from your previous posts, that you are with sprint. So, just get the shipped rom here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42741

What issue are you having? Are you getting an error? Just use the verizon unlocker.

Okay, this has been a nightmare. I have the energy rom installed and want to revert back to the stock rom. I believe it is alreay unlocked. But just in case, I have the unlock file in the main directory and I have ran it. Now, I have the stock rom nhb file on the root of my sd card. I tried running the unlock file, it turned off, and just said "Loading..." forever. What do I need to do in order to get this working? I tried the Active Sync way and that completely failed.

If you have the energy rom installed you are definitely unlocked. Just remove your memory card and put the phone into bootloader mode and connect phone to computer and open the shipped rom exe file and the flashing will begin.
