its not the raphael but this will tide me over
now question is any stuff we can extract (like cough radio)

Checking rom as we speak, I know verizon discussed not crippling the unit so very possible.

Re: Raphael Test ROM for Verizon

I think Verizon learned their lesson with the Palm 700w. They rushed to get it out and decided on 32mb rather than 64mb. Sprint later released the 700wx with 64mb which bit Verizon in the butt. Later Verizon released a 700wx with 64mb as well.

Verizon had specs of the Mogul which were weaker than Sprint's, but in the end they ended up being the same. For you Verizon users, I can only hope the same with the Touch Pro.

whoa vzw won't be crippling their touch pro!?

The Verizon Pro went through the FCC. It does have lower specs.

What if we put this rom in the mogul? Will it convert it's processor and ram? O.O

I'm assuming that was NOT a serious question...

Of course it won't!

When the 6800 was leaked for Verizon, it had lower specs than everyone else's version (Telus, Sprint, etc). In the end, Verizon didn't change the specs. However, I don't remember if their leaked low-end specs went through FCC approval.

My understanding is that the verizon version is CONFIRMED to have lower specs.

The version that was approved by the FCC is indeed the one with lower specs.

Anyone confirmed this ROM to work?

If so I will go buy a new Touch Pro @ full retail and put it on the VZW network!

this rom wont work on sprint unless its ported. as its a different hardware profile.

VZW is crippled.

chances are if you successfully flash this to your mogul, then your mogul will no longer like you very much... :D

Re: Raphael Test ROM for Verizon

one other way to know verizon is crippled is looking at the OEMDrivers folder you see reference to 7500 chipset, and the sprint version is 7501. and touch had 7500.

that means verizon is crippled.

Re: Raphael Test ROM for Verizon

Verizon needs to stop crippling their devices and lower their plans.

why would anyone want to out the verizon rom on a sprint TP, if you but it from best buy unlocked you can just activate it o verizon couldn't you? besides didn't they open their network to activate any phone that'll work on their network?

CDMA phones are never really LOCKED.. It's just providers/carriers don't usually take the device from another.. MetroPCS and Cricket do, but the major players don't.. It's easy enough to obtain your MSL, usually just takes a call to ask for it..
