The premise of this ROM is to provide an ultra-clean, simple, and updated ROM. There are minimal themes, minimal extra programs, and none of my own customizations...all those can be installed via cab by any end-user.

This ROM is based heavily off RZ's kitchen. I highly recommend you check it out, if you like to play around with this kind of stuff. Many thanks goes to raidzero for providing the kitchen and so much support.


What about the ROM? Here are some specs and what goodies it includes:
- As per the title, COM5 build 23569
- HTC Sense Manila 2.5.2012 (non-CFC in case you desire to install your own mods)
- kimi_sae_ireba People Messaging Mod (for speech bubble SMS)
- Co0kie HomeTab v1.8.0 w/ CHTEditor
- Opera 10
- pyrorob Leo 2G Phone Canvas
- no2chem's updated nueBattery2/battery.dll driver and nueCPLPower
- EzInput 2.0 Compact QWERTY (portrait)
- Tweaks, updated drivers, updated packages wherever I feel fit, etc.


Please note that this ROM does not have a specific carrier cab included; data will not work unless you install one. You may download dcd's carrier cabs from here.

I've been looking for a clean rom that didn't have all the junk so many others do. Went from Juicy to building my own with Calkulin's kitchen.

Flashed to this and it looks great, only problem is I can't find Activesync. Also was looking for information on people messaging ie how to remove it. Is there a cab to revert to normal HTC messaging. Anybody have a solutions to these problems?

Anyway looks great so far, hope you continue with it and keep us updated.

Yup, that's how I started along the lines of a clean ROM too...being a former Juicy user :mrgreen:


RE: the Activesync, my bad. I think I may have been a bit too thorough making everything clean...haha. You can just copy and paste to \Windows\sync.lnk to your start menu in the meantime.


As for the original HTC messaging, I'm not sure why you'd want it (it's pretty slow and if you have a significant number of messages, sometimes crashes). I tried throwing together a cab to revert back to HTC messaging for you, but it conflicts with the new messaging client cooked in.

Anyways, if it's just the text bubbles you dislike, you can play around with these registry keys:

One problem their is 2 usb to pcs in the connections folder... whats the fix for that i kno a couple other roms have that too.. other than that Everything is the S*** :)

Gave this a go as I always liked RZ's roms. Two issues I'm having:

1. I don't like the keyboard. If I try switching to any other keyboard through options it looks like it switches but next time I use the keyboard I get the default one. I also don't seem to be able to install any other keyboards like fingerkeyboard. The install seems to go fine, no errors. But I never get the option to switch to it, nor does the fingerkeyboard icon show up in any of the menus.

2. This isn't a problem specifically with this rom, I have had it with a couple others like Energy's and such. But it works perfect in roms like Tank Roms and Root Roms. Youtube playback is stuttery/jumpy that's if it even starts at all. Sometimes I have to click a video wait a min with the rotating connecting message, then click back and click the video again and it starts. Though it starts with a great chance of being stuttery/jumpy.

For your keyboard to change you need to get sip change, and that will allow you to change your keyboard

Thanks for the help and the above code, just changed it to 0 and everything is perfect. I found that I could use Activesync through the data services in the settings tab, so no real problem there for me anymore.

Great rom so far. My phone is finally usable. Cheers.

Great Rom! Finally something that just works! The only issue I am having is that I cannot change the background picture at all. I browse for the pic I want and select it but nothing happens. Am I missing something? Anyone else having this problem?

Are you talking about the Sense background, or the background that shows when you're in the start menu, for example?

The sip changer program cab posted should work to set a different default keyboard on boot.

Regarding fingerkeyboard, I tested an install of FingerKeyb-2.1.408 VGA by Giannis86.cab and it worked without any issues...maybe there's something wrong with your cab file? Which version did you try installing?

I'll take a look at the youtube issue. I don't have data and I don't really use youtube, but I was aware of some issues with stuttering that other people encountered with the package in this kitchen. Might need an updated package.

I have that problem too...it's an issue with co0kie's 1.8 (backgrounds worked fine with 1.7). I'll scour xda and see if there's a fix, but at the moment, I'm unsure as to how to fix it. Maybe it's a conflict with the BG4ALL I cooked in...I'll try removing that package later.

I use Co0kie v1.8.0 and have no problems with wallpaper. The thread does say that it conflicts with all BG4ALLS and HDWalls. It's got built in BG4ALL, so there's no need to cook another one in anyway.

Thanks, I'm looking but still haven't found anything anywhere. I know it must be somewhere lol.

Also, does anyone know how to disable the auto-text thing in this rom (specificly in the text message area)? I have it disabled under personal/input but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Sorry to be so nit-picky about this rom, its just soooo close to perfect for me that I really want it to do everything I want. Weather or not i get these issues fixed it's definatley my new favorite rom. Thanks!

I also ran into this problem. Just flashed this rom last night. Very nice. thanks lat. If you are using titanium then there may be a shortcut under the pictures panel. I forget if that is true or not since I disable that panel.
I went into the windows folder and then open the menu and click show all files. Then scroll down to the exe called "camera " copy it and past a shortcut into the /windows/start menu folder. This will make it show up on the start menu

why is it that the ringer volume is so low? i noticed this also on nrgz rom as well and i think it might be some sort of setting??? the sound that the vibration makes is louder or equal to the ringer!!!

I wish it'd be that clean and fast...that being said, with Manila 2.5 built in, there are many many dependencies that have to be thrown in as well, and it will definitely be more bloated than DCD's pure titanium. But I've tried to make it as clean as can be while still using Sense 2.5

Sorry...I decided to leave it out in the spirit of keeping the ROM as slim as possible. I don't think there are any cabs that install just those tabs; if you want, you can try building your own using RZ's kitchen. It's not too hard :)

Hm, no clue. I don't personally use data at the moment. Perhaps you can try another carrier cab and see if it'll work? Try the Sprint.

There's nothing in the kitchen that makes any changes to the ringer volume...and if I turn it up on my TP, it sounds pretty darn loud. Are you sure it isn't a physical problem with your TP?

Sorry. All the sys/manila files I use are 0409 - WWE (World Wide English) only.

I recommend you attempt cooking your own ROM if you want a russian one.

hmmmmm, ill flash back to stock rom and test it out... because it is something that has been happening in two different custom roms....i just thought it was a stock OEM that had been changed after a certain build or something
