root, that's exactly what I did. This ROM is basically what it says in the first post: a base, stripped OS with pretty much no extra fluff. I just keep removing the fluff as i find it. (Which includes those extra themes and HTC's ringers and any kind of extra software whatsoever).

To sum it all up, this is a ROM that "just works". There may be some quirky stuff like the security warnings and no bt icon at the moment, but it works as a smartphone. The idea is that you install the programs and extra functionality that YOU want.

And once again, this is just a general comment (not directed at you root) I make this ROM for myself to do what I want it to do. I'm just sharing it with you guys because there is nothing else out there like this except JD's ROMs and they're outdated at the moment. Please READ the first post before you start complaining about what I've taken out of the ROM. I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding.

I meant nothing bad at all.
Props for sharing.
That is just a crazy light rom. :)
When you say warnings, did you add SDKCerts?

Re: [ROM] [2/1] Bazzle's CLEAN ROMs 28205

Anyone try this one on alltel (not vzw) I am in the soon to be ATT area... yet? I am looking for a stripped base to customize myself. Maybe I am the Alltel guinea pig... gonna download it and procrastinate the testing since it took me 10 or 12 flashes of various roms to finally find one (skirom/maxdust) that worked well and took the alltel mms fix well...

will lwt you know how it runs....

Re: [ROM] [2/1] Bazzle's CLEAN ROMs 28205

I have a new SlimRoot Sense 2.1 rom that is lightning fast and I have included all carrier support.
If you like Sense give it a try. If your MMS doesn't work right OTB just open Messaging Options and select your carrier.
You should not have to install or remove anything.

I am gonna flash this rom and give er a spin as well.
Titanium can be very fast.
I want to see what it can do and I will report back.

Thanks to OP for sharing your work.
Smallest working rom I have ever heard about. :)

Two main questions here.

Does this have the internet sharing hack in it (I'd think so if it's built off JD's, but ye never know)

Is the Office Mobile 2010 stable? I tried downloading it and put it on JD's build a few months ago and the thing took all my OneNote's with it and I had to reflash it to get rid of it (Hard Reset didn't even work)

Cheers,
Celt

Firstly, thanks for creating this ROM.

I ran into two issues with the latest build.

- No data connection. I was able to fix this by manually creating a my ISP connection dialing into #777.

- SMS 2016 fix not baked in. The official HTC patch doesn't let me install detecting the phone is on a wrong version.

Thanks!

I don't know what to tell you dude, the SPCS Connection Setup runs when the ROM first boots up, I've never had any problems with the data connection. Maybe a bad flash?

Also, the official HTC patch is for stock ROMs so I don't even know if I can cook it in but I'll give it a look-see (didn't even know they had a fix out yet really haha)

Yes, internet sharing should work.
Aaaaaaaand I'm pretty sure Office 2010 is stable, I don't use it a whole lot but I haven't had trouble with it.

Love it - working great so far. Clean & Quick is the way to go, & Manila is a lag-bomb.

Should definently implement the unsigned publisher fix & 2016 fix as well.

*EDIT*

Data connection not working properly.
GPS not working properly.

I've re-flashed two times.

I attempted to set it up with the #777 but it requires a username/password which isnt typical?

Data bug confirmed (had to re-flash), I will do my best to roll out a completely working version today

I'm stilling looking into cooking in the reg hacks and everything but that might have to wait until the semester here at my school calms down. Still working on dependencies too in order to trim the SYS down even further. Glad some of you guys enjoy these!

Will be looking forward to any upcoming builds you have...these are great ROMs!

For Sprint data, you can leave the user name, password, and domain blank. You may want to check the box to save those blank information so that data connection doesn't prompt you to enter them every time.

To: brushbailey

HTC's official 2016 patch doesn't work on custom ROMs, but Ziggy's fix cab worked great on my TP using your ROM. Unfortunately, I can't link to it because I'm a lurker here with less than 10 posts - you can probably search for it. Ziggy's fix can probably be cooked into your custom ROM.

leaving blank also works for Verizon data. I'm still using the first version of the 28205 rom and periodically the login info pops up, even though I had saved the blank password before. strange...

ziggy's fix basically changes the time stamp of the text to the time of delivery from the time it was sent. it's how verizon has handled it. see attached.

Re: [ROM] [2/1] Bazzle's CLEAN ROMs 28205

i really like the "clean-ness" of this ROM, but i'm having a few issues

1) i used the registry hack mentioned in this thread to bring back the Input icon back to Settings, but when i make changes to the Input settings, they don't stick

basically, what i would like to have is the stock(?) keyboard selector icon with the "dropdown" list available in the various text input screens (ie. Text app.), which would allow me to choose the full keyboard...is this even possible with this ROM, and if not, is there a cab that will give me the stock keyboard options?

2) word-completion with word suggestions is not working when entering text message

3) editing the To: field when trying to write a text completely locks up the phone...need to hit reset to get it working again...EDIT: actually one cause of the phone locking up is that it appears 2 forms of "auto-complete" are working when i start entering a person's name, a drop-down box with a vertical list of suggestions, and a horizontal list of choices in a black box...it's when i select an option in the horizontal list (black box) that the phone locks up....why the 2 types of auto-complete suggestions, and how do i kill the one in the black box?

sweet, looking forward to it, I don't know if this is issue, but when I install gps viewer a little gets cut off at the bottom. It does it on several other programs, didn't know if this is an issue.

Right now, I'm pretty much testing several builds for stability and speed. The latest is 23518, if it's good I'll upload it.

Re: [ROM] [3/1] Bazzle's CLEAN ROMs 23529

ooooooKAY... I now have 23529 uploaded. Most stable build I've used yet. Enjoy! Please let me know what you think.

And one more thing guys... I go ahead and bake in the applications that I like to use, that list includes: Arcsoft MMS, fim, Google Maps, Opera Mobile Beta 3, Midomi, SuperDoku, and youtube. I can upload this ROM if anybody would like to have a ROM with a little more functionality. Just let me know!

Re: [ROM] [3/1] Bazzle's CLEAN ROMs 23529

installing HTC programs such as HTCyoutube HTC streaming media, etc brings up security issues and cant open files after installed. Done lots of research and cant figure it how to remove the errors.

It looks like Resco should be a full-screen app, is there any way you can look into the settings and check a box for that? lol I have to check. I really have no idea how to fix that...

Re: [ROM] [3/1] Bazzle's CLEAN ROMs 23529

It's cool if you can't fix it, this is still the best Rom for my Touch PRO, The reason I asked, is I installed the "BETA** Cricket ROM **28205 HYBRID" full of issues by the way, and it didn't cut the screen like that, so i was just thinking something weird. but its based off of Calkulin's kitchen so that might be why.

Cook in Applications - e-Natives Position Fix and it will fix the Resco issue.

Also this ROM doesn't have EPST (##778#) cooked in.
