i think ill just wait and deal with stuff until the next release, but i just thought this was really weird.

Pretty much a text book definition of a bad flash IMO. The Dance should clear it up if you can't make it to the next release.

okay, thanks. just wanted to make sure i wasnt going crazy. lol. the dance? is that where ya go "bad flash > stock flash > new rom flash"?

i think i will wait it out anyways, but once it is dropped, should i do this anyways just to ensure no further problems?

everyone recommends flash dancing for the exact reasons you've mentioned.

custom rom>stock rom> custom rom every single time or expect to have issues if you've had them in the past... every time......!!!

dont get me started on this "bad flash" nonsense.. rofl

Like the good Dr said Just Do It! :)

I only Dance IF I get issues but between SKI, root, and trying to cook my own I flash TONS of times without a problem.
Since you are having issues now I would Dance before the next update, you can't "ensure no further problems" but it should clear things up for ya.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me a month back on one of the first carbonroot roms (and I think one of the Max builds as well). I'm back to the last Sprint rom until this gets stable...

One other thought, neither of you mentioned time frames but if you flash and are chugging along just fine for let's say a week or more (nothing scientific, just my own idea) and things go all wonky on you then it may not be the flash.
Mods you've made or some data corruption on your SD card could cause issues down the road after an apparent successful flash.
Just food for thought.

Edit:
PS @ jspenc3-roots ROMs are ROCK SOLID so there's nothing to wait for.
