SOME OF THESE WERE IN 5 BUT DIDNT FUNCTION PROPERLY UNTIL HE FIXED IN 06

If we want to us this rom but not the apps2d is there anything special that needs to be done other than the rom update?

If your SD card is not formatted for apps2sd (meaning 3 partitions consisting of swap, ext2/3, and fat32) then it won't use apps2sd. So if you just have 1 large fat32 partition you don't need to do anything special to not use it.

I am having a problem and I am not sure what is causing it. I brought up the recovery screen and did a nandoird backup. Then I did an update from sd card to flash the fresh rom. It did its thing and said that it had finished. Then I told it to reboot. After 10 minutes of being hung on the HTC screen I pulled the battery. Then it boot up. I used adb push to put the tv apk and widget back and then did a reboot. At this point I get the splash screen that says fresh then it goes away and comes back over and over and over .... Any ideas what is wrong and how to fix it?

After the flash it should sit on the animated "HTC" screen for some time. I can assure you it's not 10 minutes, but it will be a while. That is because all of your cache folders have been wiped and it needs to rebuild them. Be patient. You probably rebooted it while it was still running.

If it was sitting on the non-animated HTC screen then something else went wrong.
