[ROM] Gumbo 2.1 - LINKS UPDATED + FIX 1.0

Original Thread:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-...mbo-2-1-a.html

First release of Gumbo 2.1
Built on Eris dump

What it is
full 2.1 HTC sense

What's not working -
Camera

What is working -
Everything else

Things that were removed (ROM is big. Freed up space)
Footprints
Stocks
Amazon MP3 store
HTC ringtone trimmer
HTC quick office

Goodies:
New Gumbo kernel + super tweaked lowmem settings. At boot ~75MB free with everything running.
Full screen weather
Verizon's market picks
Verizon nav (Not sure just how to strip it, and maybe it will work if a brave soul wants to try)
busybox/rooted/SU whitelist all working and automatic

To install -
Nandroid backup
Confirm Nandroid backup
copy signed-Gumbo2.1Alpha to your SD card
Boot into recovery
wipe data
flash

Skip login wizard at first boot. After ROM loads, reboot. To return to settings wizard open gmail app

Download
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download signed-Gumbo2.1a.zip

Read this thread. You'll see help from many members of A/C actively testing and helping fix bugs. A BIG THANKS to everyone here as well.

Without these people and others like them working, none of us would know enough about CDMA Android to create something like this.

Inadvertently deleted the link to the bootable raw dump. Here it is again

Don't install this unless you know what I mean by Raw Dump, or you won't be very happy.

Thanks for posting + the links and info. Didn't have to dig through threads to find out if the final had been released ;)

Re: [ROM] Gumbo 1.5c Final

When adding the add-on packages, can I go into the zip files and delete the APKs of the apps I don't want installed? Like Sprint's NFL or Nascar app?

Re: [ROM] Gumbo 1.5c Final

I am really not sure... I usually get rid of what I do not want using root manager app, and using this post as my guide of what can be removed...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581976

But if you are brave enough to try, let us know...

Re: [ROM] Gumbo 1.5c Final

Did some more research, what I was proposing won't work. If you delete the APKs, you have to delete the libraries and then re-sign the zip file. Not THAT hard, but not something I'm motivated enough to mess with.
