Got all the latest radio and PRL's via Deck's link on the first page. This seemed to occur in spite of being at the latest and greatest. I've also tried going back to a sense rom and it confirms that I'm at the latest PRL

Apparently it's a sprint issue.....thanks for the assistance.

I've noticed that with the sense roms I typically see 3 - 4 bars for signal strength and with the AOSP roms I typically see 2 bars. Does anyone know if this is just a display issue versus an actual signal strength issue?

I honestly don't think it's a display issue. I have tested the signal strength on gb vs sense and it's literally cut in half, at least on my end.

On sense you have 3-4 bars out of 7. On AOSP you have 2 bars out of 4.

Also, for the people with not as strong wifi maybe it could be that gingerbread lowered some values to save battery and you don't get as strong of a signal.

They appear to be equal if:
Sense has: 3-4 bars = 3.5 avg out of 7 = 50%.
GB has: 2 bars out of 4 = 50%

Again, I am not saying it's the same, I just know it works the same for me. Who knows, maybe it is for battery saving purposes... that would be nice ;)

i'm sure AT&T didn't play a role in adding fake bar's in our case did they?

bars are bars, with sprint even if i have 1 bar i can make and receive calls with no issues.

For a while, I was always putting Tiamet's kernel on top of Deck's Roms and was getting excellent battery life. For the last 2 or three releases, I stayed with the kernel in the image. I do think I see a decrease in battery life.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I've been away from the Deck roms for a bit. Really since the first couple revs. I decided to install this one 1.2e and I've noticed...

1. slow to wake up when you press the power button - you have to hold it down. So long sometimes that the shutdown menu comes up.
2. Phone screen may not wake up when a call comes in.
3. Laggy app screen, doesn't scroll smoothly.

i wiped everything twice before I installed the rom and I've removed the battery and rebooted. I thought it helped with the wake-up issue but after the phone sat for a while I couldn't get it to wake up unless I held down the power button.

just my experience so far...

Otherwise Deck, the ROM Rocks. I don't care for frosting on my Gingerbread and this is just right.

Thanks for your hard work. I tired out my clicker on your banners!

May be able to fix this. Try going to settings and advance settings and performance and CPU settings. Change the min to something higher. Something in the 300 or 400. Phone should react faster when turning on and when phone calls come in. Click set on boot too.

Anyone else having an issue with SMS? In my conversation list they always say "sending", and my friend kept getting all of the texts I sent him today, every time I rebooted the phone.
