To help some people. I followed the guide to finding out mys screen type and failed.
The reason it failed is because on the 002 devices (well, mine at least), you cannot find/replace the word "NOVA" because the file doesnt reference the mddi as "NOVATEK" In my file its "mddi_novtec_probe" So feel free to copy and paste this into your find/replace and it should help ya out! So I have 002 hardware and a Novatek screen. I tried doing this kernel update and had no success. Framerate was still 30fps capped and my camera stopped working. |

Does flashing this cause any data loss? apps, contacts, etc?

Just an FYI, version 3.6.2 and above have "merged" the fix for Epson and Novatec screens, it's now working for both, and they are up to version 3.6.3, have a look here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=719763

READY???????????????????? DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They fixed HDMI!!! and 5 point multi touch for those who have the supporting chip the rest get 3 point..... now at version 3.7.1 working on all roms and kernals |
