Just like the explanaiton implies, Version 1 includes radios for baseband and Wimax. Version 2 does not include the radio updates. The simplest version to install would be Version 1 and it includes wi-fi tethering built in as well as many other features. See the changelog for more information at the bottom of the first post.

So does that mean v1 has working 4g?

Just spent my whole work day with this rom. It is rock solid. No 4G connection issues. I already had 4G working on OMJ's rom by flashing the radio and wimax radio separately. This was extra simple to get going on my Evo. 4G is so reliable now, I do not need to have 3G on at all. Thank you Chris1683 for this rom.

4G should to be working perfectly as described by several users. I attached a few quotes above. Version 2 does NOT contain any radio/wimax updates as it is strictly OS files. If you want to update your radio's manually after flashing Version 2, go HERE

Chris or anyone,
For you're version 1, can I rename the zip and then flash it the way version 2 is flashed? I'm about to root for the first time and the version 1 of the zip is identical to the zip needed to root.

A simple thing to do would be to root your phone with Toast's method, and when you are all done and reboot into recovery, just reboot to the system from recovery. You can then connect the phone as a disk drive and delete the old files and just place the Sprint Lover's PC36IMG.zip in the root of the SD Card and reflash it in the same manner as the others. (You only need the root files on the sdcard until you have root and then you can either remove them of put them in a different folder on your SD Card. :laughing3:

Thanks. I asked because I was using the flash vulnerability method (not sure if Toast's method works after the OTA?). Anyway, I flashed the stock rooted ROM and then flashed your version 1 by just following the directions. Removed some bloatware and I'm ready to go.

You made my TP2 last just long enough for the Evo to come out. Now I love my Evo more than I already do. Thanks!

Just downloaded this ROM(Ver.2) and updated the radio and WiMax manually. Works great! Just one question- with the bootup .zip animation and sound, I was able to change the animation, but the sound will not come on at all when i boot up my phone- any ideas? I used Root Explorer to replace the animation .zip- Thank you again for the work you did with this ROM!

No. My original release dated 7/2/10 had the problem with voicemail. The current release has zero issues being reported and everything works fine, including 4G!

Just problably a dummy question, where i can find the last rom that you create for evo, that got new OTA, and got 4G working:joker:

Post one has both of the latest releases. First one has the radio and wimax including while the second does not. often a rom will not have the radio included since the users already have this updated. So if your radio and wimax are working and up to date, use the second rom posted. Good luck.

I am using version 1 and it's been running well. I also installed the higher frame rate update (normal volted eclair) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711964 and now i'm getting 44fps on fps2d.

If anyone does this and their wifi breaks like mine did, install the wifi 4g update for stock/custom kernal on that same link to fix it.

I used Rom Manager to install both BTW.

I think I've flashed every ROM including the Froyo ones. I love the Froyo but I need a 2.1 ROM to nandroid and use when I need a camera (which is most of the time.) I remember the Sprint Lover's ROMs from my TP2 days and they were always rock solid so I am gonna give this a shot. Chris, I loved your TP2 work so here we go. I need something solid and reliable. Thanks for your work bro
