Thanks Bro! Looks great! It's smoof and screamin!
Mine booted right up, no issues.
Wireless Tether and 4G-no problem.

Navigation still needs to be loaded through Maps for the initial launch but that's the app, not the ROM.

Hulu works-got the hourglass, tapped on it, video started.

Pandora sounds great.

Killer :headbang:

hulu works after market updates the apps. i guess they are making hulu app now work with the latest flash. i like hulu and wish netflix was an option. I like it so far. i tried another rom ayva4 i think and it had a cool boot screen with android robot looking around and then a droid thing shows up as another screeen. it was cool. what about custom boot screens for this rom

Is Swype force closing for anyone else?

yankees45us 01-23-2011 08:23 PM

I want to update to 4.5 but don't want to erase my info. I am currently on 4.4. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

Edit:

Found a fix for force close of swype. You go into applications, uninstall swype and then reboot. Now all is well.

Two most popular backup apps are Titanium Backup and My Backup Pro.

I use TiBackup to backup and restore all my apps and their data, my non-Gmail email, and brower bookmarks. It has a TON of other options-calls, SMS, etc.

You have TiBackup on 4.4 as OMJ includes it.
MyBackup Pro is available in the Market.

Not sure, Swype seems fine here.

Just wipe davlik cache and cache then flash the rom...everything will stay.

Only gets erased if you do a factory wipe

In fact I went from OMJ to Myn and forgot to wipe....got lucky. Came back to OMJ without wiping...lucky again.

True, I always advise as if a full wipe is done as, IMHO, that is the best way to ensure a "clean" install.
If a user runs into issues they will very likely need to do a full wipe and need the apps I mentioned.
There always is the risk of something getting fubared with the flash and you needing a full wipe also.

Like ROM choice, flash method is up to each indvidual user :)

As long as we are talking about it....

Yankee-
Be sure to do a Nand backup before you flash in case something doesnt go right and then you can jump back to where you began and start over.
