Are the new radios part of ROM 4.2? Or do I have to flash those separately?

Sup Bruddah! OMJ RARELY includes radios and my guess is this doesn't or he'd note it.
I'm already on all the new ish so flashing wont confirm one way or the other.
I've read that you should be on the new OTA before flashing the radios anyway so just flash the ROM and check.
If you dont have the new radios-which I doubt you will-then grab calks combo pack and flash that too. I ran his last two combo zips without issue.

Reason I asked is because I flashed v4.1 and then tried the radio Combo. Well I hung up on 4g screen. I had to restore my last back up cuz I coudln't get past the 4g screen. I did the cache and dalvik cache wipe using caulkin's Clear Temp. I might try flashing amon ra this time and wiping cache and dalvik that way...

Unless you have any other recommendations ??

Well my one recommendation would be to get on amon and stay there ;)

Dunno about the combo issue-like I said last two flashed like a dream for me. And fwiw I dont wipe before the radio flashes, just hit the zip, thats all.

Try that, flash new ROM, dont even set up, once booted go back into recovery and flash combo, no wipe.

BTW.. My wife just got back her EVO from Best Buy repair (geek squad). They replaced the screen (she had smashed the crap out of it) Well, her new screen is AWESOME... The image is sharper than my EVO.. I might have to smash mine so I get a new screen also. (got the best buy 9.99 plan.) they take like 3 weeks to fix the phone but ohh well..

So far so good... Everything has been stable since last night.

What is the latest OTA I should have? My guess is if the RADIOs are holding, then I must have the latest?? :evil4:

Does disabling the DATA CHECKing really work. I tried that a while back but didn't see any results.

My only tried and true method right now is:
1 - Charge evo over night.
2 - Unplug in the AM and check email or whatever for a few minutes.
3 - Battery always goes down from 100% to 96-94% in five minute span once unplugged.
4 - Plug the EVO back in and wait a few minutes until you are 100%.
5 - Enjoy EVO for about 13-16 hours of regular usage before you hit the 50% mark.

Works for me all the time..

My issue with the Data check in the background disable is if it will stop my emails and exchange emails from coming in?
