I was able to install some of the apps without problems, I do believe all the sprint apps were able to install, but like the fmradio, no go...

Maybe its easier if everyone just uninstalls whatever they like on their own...

I think it comes down to apps that have both an apk & odex file, on odexed roms.....but yeah, if a odexed app cannot be re-added, maybe I should add it back in.....I don't think this problem exists in deodexed roms.

Any way you could post it up?

it's actually in the removed apps file on post # 1, the app is called WifiRouter, but it may not work, because it has an odex file w/ the apk....

i tried searching the thread for "people", but didn't see this issue. when i am in the people app and on an individual contact, i click on the update and events tab (the circular arrows) and always get a force close. has anyone else run into this?

I just tested numerous contacts.....no trouble here....

Yeah, I found it there, and it doesn't work. I found another I am going to try if it works I'll post it up.

This one works. I found it in another cook's 'removed' folder lol. The apk wouldn't install . I had to zip it up and flash it from recovery. Now once you get it set up, you can just add the hspot widget and turn it on and off from there. One thing I did notice, if you use the native wifirouter, you may want to bump the sleep time up a little. Seems like if you sit on one page for a while the hotspot becomes inactive.

Just to clarify, can you use the sprint hotspot app for free (Without the $30 fee)?

I don't believe so. That is why PDANet is so popular, though I haven't tried to use it yet.

From what I gathered from that thread, it seems that OMJ has already cooked the fix in. Does that mean we can use the Sprint Hotspot app without charge (just to clarify)?

EDIT: I just tried using the tethering feature with the Sprint Hotspot app and wireless tether and it didn't work with my mac. Any help?

To carify what OMJ said......................... He didn't cook the HotSpot application into his ROM. So.. If you are currently on his ROM you can usb tether wthout any fix whatsoever, and you can use the included wireless tether, but by doing so you will aoly experience 3g speed even while in a 4g area......
