thx

Downloading the deodexed version right now, I will let you know how it works out.

By the way, I am currently running OMJ's 2.2 v2.1 which I believe is an odexed rom and I am currently running it with riptides clear theme on it.

Is that weird or what?

Oh, and I am going to try to do my themed restore after this with a the complete wipes to see if that was the case.

Thanks

Well you are an interesting case. Unlocking nand via toast's method was how we all got knocked back to 1.34 PRI.
To me if you have 1.40 you never had your nand unlocked or like OMJ said you are incredibly lucky and got updated from Sprint somehow.
The other reason I think you may never have had it is because you haven't been booting directly into Recovery; you've been using your PC. A unlocked nand allows you to boot directly into Recovery.

If you ran OMJ v1.7 ROM1 PC36IMG then you HAD to have had your nand unlocked or the file wouldnt run. And now it appears you lost it somehow.
You can run without it but everything I've read says you'll see issues as ROMs are written as if you have it.
If you do you'll get knocked back to the 1.34 PRI and have to hope you can get back to 1.40
Choice is yours.

You can follow these instructions to unlock it. Post #2, Section 2 Version 2 using the PC is what I'd use.

I don't think that I have my nand unlocked. I tried Toast's method multiple times with no luck. However, I have OMJ's Froyo v2.1 with the latest Netarchy 4.0.3, with PRI /version 1.40_003.

If you follow these directions you will restore a nandbackup and you won't lose a thing.

OMJ, the download is awful slow, I started when I posted this and I am only at 48%. I am using my wifi and have an excellent high speed connection.

Here is what I did to make it work after 20+ unsuccesfull attempts:
1)backup, ##786#, wipe-reset
2)after reset shuts down the phone didn't let it come up again and took the battery out
3)put it back in and boot in bootloader
4)wipe, wipe cache
5) Flashed the latest 3.0 OMJ ROM (I don't think this step matters but i'm putting it here for consitency)
6)reboot, follow update screens, check PRI version and it's 1.4 from the first attempt
I didn't invent this, somebody mentioned this already but without details.
After that the data speed became really sloooow (about 100kbs each way). So
7)settings->system-update->update profile
and my speed now is back to the crapy 0.7-0.9Mbps at home as it was before - no noticable improvement :)
I think step 4 is the one that makes a difference - perhaps ##Data# does not clean cache properly

Or does the old rule apply, set your cam to 8mp, then install rom and it will say 3MP but be 8MP?

Nope. No camera issues with the latest kernels been fixed for the last few versions.

Well if you tried Toast and it didnt work then you dont have it unlocked :)
Your 1.40 PRI is confirmation also. Like I said earlier, you can run without it but it is recommended by those smarter than me that you have it unlocked for todays ROMs.
You can not write to /system without it. If that doesnt matter to you then you may be able to keep your set up as is.
Confirm your hboot version by loader bootloader. hboot .79 means your not unlocked.

Like touch, jay, omj, me, etc......said, with a nand backup you've got nothing to worry about.
You could also try the method I listed that says it wont....erase....data ;)

The PRI update is based largely on luck. IMO it's all about the activation not the data.
Even if you use the other method it only makes sense to have a nand backup just in case.

Try again..I downloaded with no issues. There may just be a lot of downloads happening with a new release.

Your using ROM Manager? I downloaded really fast on my computer, but then OMJ wanted someone to test the ROM Manager download.

At this point I'm at 95%, I'm not starting over :)

Thanks for the input.

Downloaded and flashed, working fine. It took a really long time to download though. I'm restoring my Titanium BU now, who knows, I may keep this one on even though my OMJ 2.2 v2.1 was working flawlessly.

Thanks for the work.
