i am on Netarchy Custom Kernel. thinking about going to deodexed. what is the difference?

Other than the ability to use custom themes im not sure, I believe an odex based rom uses less space an its more "stock like"..? anyway sumone posted an in dept comparison of the 2 on this thread i believe. I hate the stock look of both htc sense an reg android so i go thru alot of themes and beginning to make my own. deodex makes that possible so personally i dont care about odex or wut it does different.....jus use the search ull find it quick

Im still learning myself, im going to master this 1st then start to learn how to cook my own roms :twisted:

Good morning All,

I have installed the OMJ EVO 2.2 FroYo v2.1
Includes Netarchy Custom Kernel 3.7.6c (Camera capped @ 3 mp) on two EVOs. One with the Seidio Extended Capacity battery and the other with stock battery, both phones were dead by morning. Something is sucking the life out.

I installed OMJ EVO 2.2 FroYo v2.1 Deodexed
Includes Stock Kernel (Wifi Tether now working w/ 2.0.5_pre7) about half an hour ago. We'll see how that goes.

Any clues anyone?

yeah. while the evo is a nice phone, the design for power consumption is a joke and my 4 month old Lab puppy could have done a better job.

running OMJ latest deoxed, just installed netarchy 3.7.8b kernel overtop of 3.7.7 (man is he fast..LOL). No issues to report. Quadrant has improved a good bit. Not even overclocking so this kernel is impressive :)

btw, sshot sucks but q score is 1240.
