Hey, I need to flash back to stock now because the USB port on my phone broke.. ive been trying and it hasnt let me.

When i do it through the RUU it says "the main version is higher" so it wont let me update. When i do it through the bootloader by naming stock to PC36IMG.zip it gives me an error

What didnt work? That is a ROOTED stock ROM so I'm not sure what you were trying with it. If your USB is busted not sure you'll have much luck with a RUU.
Make sure your RUU matches the software version.

Yea i just realized that.. i need food, cant think right now

But i think i figured it out.. apparently i need to flash a rooted 1.32 version before flashing to the non-rooted 1.47 according to here

and my usb port works while i have weight on it.. i kno its dangerous

Are you sure its your usb port that is busted and not your cable? My cable doesnt work properly anymore, but others I have work just fine.

Yea, its the phone sadly.. i have 6 cables/chargers... none of them work properly.. i even went into the sprint store today and used the one that was connected to the display model to show the girl.. and plus my roommate also has an EVO so. It seems like it disconnects from the board.. theres a pair of threads that ive been commenting on XDA about this problem.. several ppl have it.

microUSB was a horrible idea.. anything with moving parts cannot be more durable than something without (eg miniUSB) i want to kill the Telecommunication Committe for making this the new standard

You could try that since it worked for that user but there are numerous factors that can effect your ability to unroot.
For example I tried over a dozen attempts on my Win7 machine and nothing worked. Then I went rooted 1.47 to unrooted 1.47 via the 1.47 RUU I linked you on my Vista machine in one shot. Despite downloading drivers numerous times I assume that's where my issue was.
Some advise that if you get errors, dont touch your device just keep trying...up to 5 or 6 attempts.
Some also adivse being in bootloader or fastboot to get the RUU to go.

Thought I was going crazy...my screen was non-responsive/going haywire when I plugged it in to charge at night but I never suspected the charger. It dawned on me today though that my charger at work was fine. Definitely makes a difference what charger you are using!!

Looks like they fixed the FB syncing, mine is working now...still on stock kernel
