any idea why my phone says there is an update for an app and when it gets to the download part it just sits there and does not start the download? It also will not let me download anything else that is new to the phone? Is there a reset or something I can do to get working again? Running 1.8 deo.

ok...so it seems like my phone won't read the ROM1 update file...
it reads it during the boot up but never asks me if i want to update...

any ideas?

I know I said I'd wait till you cook a Froyo meal but tomorrow, or if I have time today will go 1.8 w/deo.
I am currently running 1.7 ROM 1 and have had no issues except for having pri version 1.34_003. I can run Sprint TV so I don't even know why we need to have an updated PRI. I tried updating but the # doesn't change.

I will be getting a 32 gig sd card tomorrow and I think the apps2sd function will be usefull until you get Froyo on the map when SPrint stops being lazy and get's it out already for us.

You are not NAND unlocked...

I loaded the older OMG rom v1.3

I followed the tutorial...?

You have to do both sections of rooting, follow fastrx8 tutorial. Also a way to check if you are or are not NAND unlocked is to check you hboot version in bootloader if it is .79 you are not NAND unlocked.

i did follow his tutorial...
but after entering everything in the command prompt...
and i reboot the phone to bootloader...
it finds the pc63.img but does not ask me to update it...

any ideas?

What is the biggest stability diff with deodexed vs odexed...also is the main reason for deodex ROMs so you can put a theme on the phone? I am currently running 1.7 veer 2 and it has been excellent so far..

using evo in 3g area for net. 1 hour 25 min remaining for 1.8 deodexed hope it has sprint hotspot installed as I am under the impression that is the only way I can use wireless tether app and set it to do 8 devices as I only get two now.
