I want a ROM that is the last most stable version of 6.5 and is as barebones as possible. I don't seem to be able to find it anywhere. It seems like my good friend Dr. House is the only one who comes close to offering what I want, only it seems to be some newer version of Titanium which looks abhorrent with giant panels and hideous icons visible even when a panel is not selected.
I was a long time MightyRom user but his build of 6.5 is not nearly as good as what is currently out.
Can someone point me to a ROM just like Mr. Obvious is offering here only with the last most stable version of 6.5 with the original Titanium?

I run a (pretty?) bare bones 21887-based Titanium rom that I created using OMJ's kitchen that both my wife and I have been using for some time. I could post the template file which you could then use with OMJ's kitchen to create the rom. LMK if you are interested.

I am definitely interested, but I thought 21887 had the version of Titanium with the selected panel MUCH larger than before...just like this Obvious ROM.
Is there a descriptor or title for this version of Titanium I am referring to? Is it something that can be adjusted with a different .cpr file?

I'm not sure to be honest what you're asking but I think I will use the newer SYS orangekid wanted and also push out a Titanium only (no weather or anything, but you can cab install that in) just to add to stability. I think the version I cooked in has a few bugs.

Someone has to know the answer to this.

The Titanium I am used to only shows an icon for the selected panel....with the text labels to the far left. From the default view, on a VGA device there is room for 3 collapsed panels above and below the clock.
The Titanium I see in this Obvious ROM and in others has a MUCH larger size for the selected panel, such that there appears to only be room for 1 collapsed panel above it and 2 below it. Furthermore, the icons for each panel are visible at all times and are positioned on the left-most part of the screen. I hate it, it's ugly and doesn't leave room for nearly as much information when at the default (clock) view.

What I don't know is whether that 2nd version of Titanium is achieved simply by editing .cpr files or if it is specific to particular builds of WinMo. If it is just a matter of editing .cpr files then I won't have anything to worry about. If it is specific to certain WinMo builds then I will want to avoid these builds.

Can someone explain what is responsible for these differences?

I believe what you are referring to is the so called WM7 Titanium Project, e.g.,

A rom is easily cooked with or without this variation. If you want to continue this conversation, it may be more appropriate to move it over to OMJ's kitchen thread so as not to infringe upon Mr. O's thread. LMK here, then we can move as appropriate.

I actually intended to post in Mr. O's thread because his minimalistic approach is exactly what I want....only I do not want the WM7 Titanium Project cooked in. It sucks.
If there is a way to override that, then I could just stick with his ROM and use regular Titanium.
If there is no way to do that, then I would like to request that his next ROM be cooked without the WM7 Project cooked in, since that one person that wants WM7 can install it themself.

I would think that should be easy for Mr. O to leave out, but will let him remark on that. If for some reason he chooses not to, we could go back to plan b where I could provide you template for a very clean 21887-based Titanium rom that can be used in OMJ's kitchen.

Well I would like plan b except I have never made my own ROM. Due to my anal nature, I would really like to make my own, but due to my lazy nature, I would really like to use someone else's. Actually, I cannot afford the downtime I might experience struggling to learn how to make the ROM the way I want it.
If I had an extra Diamond laying around, I would go full throttle into learning how to cook.
So for now, I am at the mercy of the guys who have already ironed out all the wrinkles in the ROM-cooking business.
